Where has Rowett hinted that about Bojan? (Not picking an argument btw genuine question!) I love Boj but don't think he's very good at all out wide. www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-city-bojan-gary-rowett-1787170“He’s not a natural wide player but in a 4-3-3 like we played at Walsall he can drift inside and cause problems, particularly with someone like Moritz Bauer bombing on and giving you natural width from full-back. It's still hard to know what formation we;re going to plump for though, isn't it? If we were to sign another front-line striker, things would probably change. Quite a lot seems to be up in the air until we see who comes in. Thanks mate! Yeah I'd agree with that, be interesting to see the line-ups for the next few friendlies

I have a feeling that Lampard will be calling a lot of favours in and ending up with 8-10 loanees. You just know the press will be sucking up to him all season. Not sour grapes but I don’t think teams should be allowed any more than 3 loanees. We better make sure we get McClean and Ritchie in or we’re going to look like idiots for missing out on Wilson. The situation regarding how many players can go out on loan ( especially to a team in the same division ) also needs addressing . Chelsea had a lot of players “ getting game time elsewhere “ - almost holding clubs to ransom- play our player or pay the price for leaving him out

Hope we don’t get Zouma back, poor value last season imo. You what? Actually, he might be ok in the championship. Time will be the judge with him, be interesting to see how his career progresses. Unless, I’m wrong, 7m, relegation and no asset at the end of it was poor value. Though, I don’t blame him for relegation, he was just an Elastoplast, like Jese, cheapo- noting etc. My opinion, that’s all.

Does anyone really offer 'minimum game time'? It limits the manager's tactical options and ability to respond to player form but apart from that I'm not sure how it would work administratively anyway, would it be contractual or simply a statement of intent? Wigan had to pay us money every time Big Jakob didn’t play. It essentially helped to relegate them! Oh right , that's how you'd do it then subject to no injury too I suppose .

He played wide right at Walsall. I read his interview as if Bojan wants to leave he can mate GR has basically said that with everyone though - he only wants people who are up for the battle of getting us out of the division and has implied before that anyone not buying into that can go. Don’t see it as Bojan-specific.

Unlike Chelsea and Man C Liverpool don't owe Lampard anything so you'd think we could offer them a better financial deal. With currently no wingers on books he'd certainly get plenty of games.

Nixon: Harry Wilson. All sorted at Derby. Stoke had a go. Leeds hung around. But Lampard effect seems to have won the day.
Twitter link doesn't seem to be working.

It'll be interesting to see where we turn now.
He seems a very good player and did the job last year at Hull.
Hopefully Ritchie will sign sooner rather than later but we're still desperate for another winger.

Would that be the player that won a few trophies at club level but was shit for England at International level and has no managerial experience whatsoever? Football eh? 🙄

Derby was the obvious place for Jack Harrison with the Lampard link.
Wonder if we may have another look there on loan.

If it is official then that is a defeat for the transfer team. We've lost a potentially very good player to a rival.
Disappointed with this.

We may have a large number of targets and we are not going to succeed with every one - we know it, the transfer team know it and the club know it -so there's no point in treating every one that doesn't get over the line as a defeat. Some may have got very near, some less so - we can only go on the snippets of info in the media, some of which may not bear scrutiny, some of which have a grain of truth, some of which are quite possible. All that 'info' does is generate optimism and Oatcake pages, which then degenerate into frustration/anger/call it what you will when things don't pan out. More of us should enjoy the ride, keep our tongues firmly in our cheeks and treat it as the comedy it invariably becomes
