Did a quick search and didn't see anything about him recently. Not seen any links to elsewhere? I just came across this and I wonder if there could be a way for Rowett to bring this side to his game back.

I don't think that was ever a side to his game as such, more a complete and utter fluke.

He’s lost the pace that he possessed back then and it affects his game so much. Also, that finish sums him up. Any goalkeeper from u13 upwards should be saving that. Fortuanatley for us, it was joke hart in goal!

Bring it back? He did it one fucking time, great attitude and works fucking hard but he lacks any semblance of quality and needs to go.

Hell do a job right side in the championship no question , there are others far less able to contribute and others more toxic we need to shift first .

He's still got the best goals tally for a striker that we had in the Prem though.

On the odd occasion he scores, it's as much a surprise to himself as too anyone else!! Another one we're probably going to have to lever out the door!! So erratic & wasteful it's fekkin unbelievable!!

And still the single season prem top scorer for Stoke? Lets continually slag off and ridicule a guy who has give nothing but 110% for Stoke throughout his time here, never once cried to the press when played out of position continually and is by all accounts one of the nicest guys in the squad. He probably shouldn't be first choice now, but as a squad player in the championship, in a 46 game season (and who has shown he can/will fill in wherever bloody needed fairly selflessly), Diouf does not desteve the vitriol he gets.

Am I the only one that would keep Diouf?
I think he’s a solid squad player capable of chipping in with a few.

He's a decent striker, anyone who thinks he was the main problem in our team last year has a limited view of the game (and a short memory).

Quiz Time.
Rearrange the words to describe Diouf.
“Banjo with can’t a arse cow’s a hit”
Clue.....(A colourful idiom from football)

I'd expect him to stay, he's a worker and that's what Rowett seems to like. Personally I'd sell him to make room for a Gayle/Vydra type proven Championship striker.

Perhaps signings might change that but we haven't so far and we have or will have sold all our wide players.

Diouf is a loyal hard working goal scorer. Yea he misses his fair share, but he's also tracking back, covering defenders and often out of position and still scores or wins the ball back. He's hardly a reason to be blamed for last season, infact it'd be a joke to suggest as he's one of the few who ran his socks off. Baffling vitriol being thrown at him on here being one of our top prem scorers and also willing to be pegged into RB by a daft Welsh manager for the shittiest Fwd our club has ever spent money on. Berahino can't lace Diouf boots or legacy at this club.

Can’t finish his tea but great attitude We need 70+ goals to get out of the Championship. There's easily 10+ goals in him that we would need to replace in the Championship, when those players are in the building we can decide.

Diouf’s inability to convert the easiest of chances has been a major reason for our relegation
We would have stayed up if we had a proper striker instead of this donkey
Yet a good number of masochists on this board are clamouring for him to stay

I'd back Diouf to score as many as Afobe given the same number of games.
