Jordan Greenidge? Guess they couldn't agree a deal then. Wasn't even a product of our system as we got him from Reading I believe.
Surprised about Monteiro, thought he'd be one they would keep.

Got a feeling we’re going to live to regret losing Jordan Greenidge I have a feeling we are going to regret keeping Haugaard, if he is our back up option next season we are screwed again. At least Johnson has gone at long last hopefully Lethargic Les will snap him up.

Haugaard contract extension? This suggests Grant as number 1 and him as back up??!?!? If so, we must pray for Lee Grant's health and fitness on a daily basis.

Ireland was a very decent player, and even with age and medical issues I can say he delivered more consistently when he played that the total fraud Johnson and Haugaard, who seemed to play like he’d won a fucking raffle and couldn’t quite believe it. Stephen Ireland is a nut job who lives in a pink Disney Castle- no doubt about it- but Ireland was a good footballer. Johnson was a joke and an easily identifiable cardboard cutout defender for the last season or two.

Not really sure why so many are bothered about Greenidge to be honest. Can’t see him being anything special from what I’ve seen.
Haugard is a strange one, maybe Quy rates him but he’s not going to be more than a third choice keeper anyway so not that arsed.

I've been told he's not rated.

You’ve just jumped to that conclusion. Most teams have 3 first term keepers now. Haugaard will remain 3rd choice as he has been for a few years now.. He’ll probably never even play.

I've been told he's not rated. To be honest, I haven't been overly impressed. Awkward specimen for younger Academy lads to deal with, but his physical gifts maybe won't count so much as he gets into senior football? The only concern on the list is Haugaard. Although hopefully he'll decide to leave as he'll surely just be third-choice here.

And you've got to think it's a decision made by the brains trust at board level and Quy?

Who bought the pile of shit here ?, we can file him under Hughes fuck up signings there are quite a lot of them, we could of got rid though maybe he is here for target practice though with our strikers he will be safe.

Ireland would of been good in the championship deffo worth 12 month Totally agree. Seems odd to hang onto him for so long through injury and then let him go just when he could realistically become an asset. Most likely he wanted out- I don't think Stoke would play this dumb with the overhaul coming in the 8-12 weeks.

I think they are just edging their bets with Haugaard. They probably know Jack will go, even Grant could go. I wouldn't worry too much about it, he won't be near the 1st team
Surprised at Lecygne though

With Butland looking nailed on to leave us, it would have left us with just Grant at present. I'd imagine keeping Haugaard is just an insurance policy - hopefully one we never have to make a claim on.

Hauagaard was a risk worth taking. If he turned out to be decent, we got a good goalkeeper for a bargain price. If not, we stand to lose a ccoupl of hundred thousand. This is not a catastrophic signing, it just didn't work out. So what? Keeping him on is the issue, and that is nothing to do with Hughes. Stop blaming absolutely everything on him, you are as bad as the bloody clowns in charge of the shitshow that is our recruitment.

Ireland would of been good in the championship deffo worth 12 month 17 appearances in the last 3 seasons tells us all we need to know, I appreciate he had a horrible injury and I presume the only reason he stayed was for us to help him recover, but the truth is he was well out of the first team plans a long time ago. He might have done a job in the championship but I'd rather we bring in some new faces and freshen up the squad a bit, I wish him good luck wherever he ends up. He has a few years left in him yet but it's better he goes somewhere where he is going to play regularly. I'm glad to see Johnson go, he looked alright in his first season but we kept him for 2 seasons too long and his legs were shot, a waste of a wage and a waste of a squad place. As for Haugaard I'm surprised we have retained him, he hasn't shown any promise in his time here and I've not seen anything to make me think he is good enough to be 3rd choice.
