It's incredible isn't it. Big club, big support and fanbase. I assume Steve Bruce will probably resign as he's trying to save the club with what looks like both hands tied behind his back.
Looks like some serious financial mismanagement has gone on. Not looking good for the coming season.
I feel sorry for the genuine fans like Staffsvilla.

I think that's WHY they asked for said fee. Tottenham after him. This won't end well for the Villa. Villa will end up paying 14m + the player to spurs and ending up with a 40year old Adebayor if our track record with them is anything to go by

And yet they have the cheek to ask for £40m+ for Grealish? strange. I think that's WHY they asked for said fee. They never had a chance of getting it though, it was pointless and makes them look stupid.

Another chairman that passed the fabelled fit and proper test.

At the very least, offer them 2 of Cambell, N'Goy, Souttar and Tymon on loan for the season say, in return for Adomah + 3m. We get a very creative speedy player for a position we really need. We also get to blood youngsters in the Champs and increase their value (or realise they will never be good enough and cut our losses)
In turn, they will get (a) the cash, (b) the players wages of their books, (c) 2x lower priced players to replace a first team that they will largely have to get rid of.
Others worth a look: Chester, Hourihane, Kodja. (and would be fine if we threw in Fletcher or Adam for free too as part of any deal!)

Shame. Proper football club with good history. Of course want us to finish above them but give me a Villa ahead of a Bournemouth, Palace or Fulham every time.

Good idea all round, Ive been keeping an eye on Conor Hourihane since his Plymouth days, he's progressed very well and looks very comfortable in the championship.

We potentially could be in a similar situation if an early return to the Premiership is not achieved. That said , as. A lad raised in Brum surrounded by Villans chortling about their 7 fa Cup and euro final win etc and how they “like” little old Stoke, I find it hard to have too much sympathy. When Mama scored the winner in 2008, little old Stoke went out the window. What comes around and all that👍

And pay the debts from pasty cash , it’s mind boggling how much bet 365 is worth even before conquering the USA , there is no way we can be in the same situation , FFP May be but not the kind of. Trouble they are in

Having rich owners isn't the most important thing, it's about how much money they want to put into the club.

£9 million bid for Chester and job sorted😄 Might even come down to payment terms, if we offered £8m up front would be more use to them in their current state than £10m spread over 12/18 months.....
