I went to Leeds in the 1st year that we last dropped out of the top flight. Anyway, to cut a long story me & my mates got chased by knife wielding Leeds fans. Would have been stabbed anโall if my mate Hilly handnt punched one who was coming in for the kill. Enjoy!

City ground would be a good one for me for obvious reasons. I can practically get the tram door-to-door.
Derby is also nice and close (Sheffield not bad either)

Forest, hopefully late in the season with a lot resting on the game with a big crowd.
Ditto Villa, looking for an evening kick off: always seems a cracking ground under floodlights, football history just oozes from the brickwork, walk to the ground through terraced streets, none of this out of town anodyne industrial park shite....

Anywhere near to Doncaster for me Sheffield Wednesday Sheffield United Leeds United Hull City Rotherham United.
And a bit further afield Derby Notts Forest. A pissed off about Barnsley and Huddersfield. Never mind cant have all my own way.
Two grounds that i dont fancy yomping to are Ipswich Norwich Both are in the back end of no where.
Went to Norwich as a young lad. Game got postponed due to bad weather. Nightmare getting from there and to it. Bus windows smashed going. All of us arrested at Boston in Lincolnshire. Still have not got a clue what for and who.

All of em.
It's only been two weeks, I've been to Ikea with the ball and chain, done the front and back garden - gutted the house, cut down two tree's in the back garden that I've been meaning to do for ages and painted the dining room.
Give me back football for god sake, I'll drop dead soon at this rate.

Just no way will I ever go to Elland Road again- in 1975 I spent 90 minutes listening to the โmissing linksโ singing โMama- just killed a fan, put a gun....โ- and I believed every word of it!

I went Leeds in the 70's hundreds of their lads chanting "sieg heil" at us, full nazi salutes, bizarre.

Elland Rd, seeing as most other have a story. The Cliff Carr save game, where said defensive maestro made a fantastic save much to the irk of the Leeds Fans & everyone else who didn't see the 4ft 7 chappie dive to prevent a certain Leeds goal. Half time had the Leeds fans having some mental version of what looked like British Bulldog in which the unlucky home supporter would get a good kicking...and also first & only time seen home fans wearing balaclava's to welcome the away fans
Good old Elland Rd!

I love the Midlands derbies. Particularly looking forward to Derby (added edge with the Rowett move) and Forest, where we have not played in some time. I remember the early Pulis 6 goal thumping, but far more fondly the Steino inspired 3-2 win.

I'm being lazy but would be grateful to know when we last played at each of the Championship grounds, excluding those relegated this season which was obviously last season.
Some seem ages ago and others now have new grounds, e.g. Rotherham.
Thanks.

Aston Villa - Done it before but worth another trip as its close and the Witton Arms and Pies are decent... Birmingham City - Done it before so maybe not Blackburn Rovers - Done it before so maybe not Bolton Wanderers - Done it before so maybe not Brentford - Did the pre season game there a few years ago, got a parking ticket. Never again Bristol City - Never been to Bristol before at all, will probably make a weekend out of it. Derby County Derby - Went for the cup, the train was a pig to get there. Given the Rowett connection and how close it is this will be a must do Hull City - Been before, wouldnt go back Ipswich Town - Never been and given the effort to get there its on the maybe pile... Leeds United - Never been, similar to Bristol a must do Middlesbrough - Went last time we played them, Parmo is garbage. Give it a miss. Millwall - One of the few London games, I imagine this will be like seeing old friends... Norwich City - See Ipswich Nottingham Forest - Nottinghams a great city, never been so a must go Preston North End - Went for the pre season game, its a maybe... Queens Park Rangers - Went under TP, wouldn't go back. Reading - Been before. Boring...just boring Rotherham United - Newish stadium, never been and close enough. Worth a go Sheffield United - Haven't been for years and Sheffields a great city so going to try and go at least one Sheffield game Sheffield Wednesday - See above Swansea City - Been before, wouldnt go back. West Bromwich Albion - Almost worth it for the vine. Boing boing. Its a maybe Wigan Athletic - Been before, like the ground as the stands and steeply banked and feels close to the pitch. Maybe.
Definites: Notts Forest Leeds Millwall Bristol City Sheffield Wednesday Derby County
Maybe: Villa West Brom Wigan Rotherham
Some decent grounds to visit. I can see this being an expensive year for away support without fixed price tickets too....

Norwich looks a lovely place so that will be first fixture I will look for, a weekend away with the bride will be on agenda. Obviously Nottingham/Villa for night out after a resounding victory....I am still gutted Sunderland were relegated as weekend in Newcastle was a staple for me and bride.

Bolton - need a designated driver as only sensible way there is by car but a good mate is a fan. Derby, 3 changes on the train and a jaunt to the ground but again friend is a fan. West Brom, got 4 employees who are season ticket holders so go there every season Preston, love the ground, proper old school and been redone since I last went plus easy on the train. Wigan, good pies, will drive that one. Villa, amazing ground, hopefully a night game Sheffield (either one), take me back to Uni! Bristol, lovely city, do a weekend on that one.

Few grounds id like to go again.
Preston is a good away day. Despite horrible memories of a Delilah being silenced in the last minute in 2002.
Bristol City.
Derby is one of the nicest grounds I've visited.
QPR as my first every away game as a 16 year old barring the vale.
West Brom as it's close enough for my 6 year old. Add villa with that too.

Still have not got a clue what for and who. I was nicked that night too, along with God knows how many more. We were all taken to Spalding Police Station after a group of mental Stokies completely trashed and robbed a cafe. Game was posponed due to a frozen pitch just as we were reaching Norwich. 1978 or thereabouts. Mad but happy away days in those times, always travelled in numbers.
