A lot of people are put off by getting to Ipswich-but I've done it a few times in about 3 hours-so it is doable.

Oh yeah, put your house on it. Wouldn't surprise me if it's opening day. Friday night to open the season. I'm struggling to think of a bigger Championship storyline of a relegated Premier League team playing a playoff team after knicking their manager during the summer, oh and they're also local(ish) rivals. I think it's nailed on.

Griffin Park - Brentford's last season there and it's a ground that I've never managed to visit yet! Looking forward to getting on the terrace and having plenty of decent pubs to choose from pre-match.

Ashton Gate is now a very nice stadium. Bristol is a great place to visit and very easy to get to by road or rail.

If you’ve not been to Elland Road & we’re both towards the top it’ll be great. Massive club and probably still nasty. Never forget the balaclavas & chaos trying to get in the ground the year they got promoted.
Loved Hillsborough, Villa, Derby & Forest (Steino) over the years & Bristol’s Reno looks impressive.

Anywhere near to Doncaster for me Sheffield Wednesday Sheffield United Leeds United Hull City Rotherham United. And a bit further afield Derby Notts Forest. A pissed off about Barnsley and Huddersfield. Never mind cant have all my own way. Two grounds that i dont fancy yomping to are Ipswich Norwich Both are in the back end of no where. Went to Norwich as a young lad. Game got postponed due to bad weather. Nightmare getting from there and to it. Bus windows smashed going. All of us arrested at Boston in Lincolnshire. Still have not got a clue what for and who. Windows got done at Norwich? Did you catch them after a bad harvest? it was forest fans. A few coaches pulled ovrr for piss stop and things got a bit heated to say the least.

We were all taken to Spalding Police Station after a group of mental Stokies completely trashed and robbed a cafe. Game was posponed due to a frozen pitch just as we were reaching Norwich. 1978 or thereabouts. Mad but happy away days in those times, always travelled in numbers. Buses pulled over to let us have a piss and it kicked off with some forest fans. Bus windows got pushed through. Things got a bit heated that morning. I thought Police station was in Boston but my memory is not as good these days..... Spalding does ring a bell tho' Happy and crazy days. You took a risk following football in those days.

Norwich looks a lovely place so that will be first fixture I will look for, a weekend away with the bride will be on agenda. Obviously Nottingham/Villa for night out after a resounding victory....I am still gutted Sunderland were relegated as weekend in Newcastle was a staple for me and bride. Norwich can be a pig to get to, but worth the journey. I remember meeting 'Bunny' in the Karma Café when we did an over night there a few seasons ago

Just no way will I ever go to Elland Road again- in 1975 I spent 90 minutes listening to the “missing links” singing “Mama- just killed a fan, put a gun....”- and I believed every word of it! I got nicked at Leeds in the 80s, they had a bit of a firm waiting for us at the City Arms.

[br Last time I went there with Stoke there was a pub outside each 4 corners of the ground so did 2 pre and 2 post match. Took a Bradford City fan with us and he was most impressed by the range of old 70' style songs that were sung by Stoke!

Still have not got a clue what for and who. Happy memories of that Norwich away game as well. Apparently, at the truck stop, a couple of Stoke fans thought it would be a good idea to pour sugar into the juke box. As a consequence, four coachloads of Stokies got questioned by the police, which meant we got home later than had the game actually taken place! Also remember going to Ipswich early 80’s, winning 3-2 to go top of the “Prem”. OK it was only September!! From the game went straight to Harwich to catch a ferry en route to an infamous 2-2 England game in Copenhagen (staged a one man pitch invasion at the U21’s to shake Paul Bracewell’s hand)
