This thread needs to be locked now. It’s literally just giving the scumbags on here a chance to vent their uneducated opinions and it’s gone to far now. When morons start wishing someone for the team they say they “support” gets his legs broken it’s time to shut it down. Do the right thing Admin

We're going round in circles but I find Geoff Cameron's 'politics' fairly depressing but so what. It's his business. Have a chub on here by all means but anyone vocalising at the game is a bell end, pure and simple.

He bought it to the fore with regard to football and it has to be judged when you think of him. He didn't have to do that. Cameron hasn't.

I dunno, doing an article articulating why he agrees with a Muslim travel ban is pretty to 'to the fore'!

Some stupid comments on here. Like some saying 'I don't wear a poppy, because you tell me to' etc. Lame! That's what's wrong with people in this country today, God help us if we had another World War. Anyway, McClean is scum & also shite, so we shouldn't be signing him. Also Club know the controversy it will cause & still go ahead. Why don't we go further & sign Evans as well! Ray Evans? I don't think he'd be much use now mate. He's 68. Typical remainer rubbishing older people

That was news to me too but having googled it it is more he was asked his opinion rather than writing an article. I dont agree with him or Mclean but my only problem with either is that they are pretty bang average footballers.

I just think it's easily avoidable if they wanted to. Like when Shaq did his celebration in the World Cup and there was outrage at him getting punished for it. There are rules for a reason (however ironic given the whole WC was a political advert for Putin) and they should be abided by. There's no need for politics in football.

Rowett wanted Mclean its his team and reputation. Whilst I generally agree with you on politics and sport, the stuff the serbs were chanting at them and his family history I can only say good on Shaq for giving them the big FU.

The NFL argument has nothing to do with the McLean issue. 99% of NFL players are American and the protests are all to do with issues within American society. Everyone is entitled to their beliefs and wee Jimmy has his fair do. However he has contradicted his beliefs for money in playing his trade in a nation he hates and has no respect for our forces or monarchy. For such a principled person surely he would want to be playing in the league of Ireland or a European league that doesn't offend his community or beliefs?? But no greed counts more for notes with the Queen's head. NFL American players protest against issues within their country. Wee Jimmy openly protests against our nation and its not just the poppy issue look at him turning his back on God save the queen and pro IRA and republican songs he is on video singing. He has a deep rooted hatred of britain I will always support Stoke I will never support McLean Absolutely spot on !, 👆🏻 👆🏻👆🏻👆🏻 I will never go stoke again as long as he is playing See ya then. Bye.

Its probably been written into his contract I doubt he will, he never has before and whether you agree with him or not this would have been the easy way out for him and he has never taken it. Despite the dogs abuse he gets which in some ways you have to admire him for, just a shame he is such a bang average player.....

If you don't like others opinions and it differs too yours, stop talking about it, ignore and keep quiet. Exactly the same what the remain camp are doing. If you don't like what we say, your wrong, your facist, your racist, your right wing blah blah blah. Can no one have a discussion anymore without someone crying about some guy writing the words 'break his legs' over an internet forum for gods sake?
