I think there must be a good chance he'll end up there After last night Klopp will be searching for a top keeper and Butland fits the bill If he has a decent World Cup for England 40m?

If we get £35M for Butland I think we've done a decent deal, if we get more I won't cry of course!

The thing about Butland unlike many other top keepers is he could be signed with no resistance whatsoever due to our circumstances.

Sky just mentioning that Arsenal are showing some interest 😱 We do hold all the cards on this one but surely should be looking at adding at least one goalkeeper during the transfer window regardless

Who do you go with, the keeper of a relegated side who’s made several high profile blunders or the player of the year for the team who finished 8th? I'd go with Pope but I'm not sure Southgate will given his history with Butland. Pope really failed to impress at the last England camp, Southgate doesn’t rate him like the other 2. Pickford jersey to lose though if you take off the stoke tinted glasses I’m afraid.

What will be interesting this year regarding Jack and any other players playing in the World Cup is, The World Cup ends on 15th July and the transfer window closes just over 3 weeks from that date.
Throw in the players holidays and it leaves little or no time for them to meet potential new employers etc etc.

Karius and 100m for Butland sounds about right.

Surely we can screw Wolves out of that?

I have not watched Allison (what kind of name is that!!?!) as regularly as Butland, obviously, but I fail to see how he is worth over twice as much as Jack!??!? Throw in Jack's home grown status, no issues with language (well, some of those Scousers can be hard to understand and Henderson's Geordie accent can be tough too!), his experience in this league already, and the fact he would probably go with our best wishes in a deal which could be concluded very quickly, and it is a no brainer for me for Liverpool to prefer him over the Brazilian.

He's a way better keeper tbh. And he's a bit like the Man City one too, he'd get into our midfield. I think he'll end up at Madrid though.

Surely we can screw Wolves out of that? Do you think? £30m is still huge money for all but the Champions League crew. And the article seems to think Wolves have FFP issues?

Yes they do, they've relaxed the rules a bit since Man City & PSG kicked off about their fines but ultimately the rules are still there, and the wage cap seems to be the main rule everyone tows the line to. However with regards to the article I can't see what FFP issue Wolves have got yet, they've just won an increased revenue of what 70 Million ? and not spent anything yet and won't have a wage cap to worry about just yet.

Like I said earlier, if the best he can do is Watford he might as well stay and get back up with us.

Can also see west ham being interested but I'd wait until after the world cup and hope he has a good one.

Then we don't sell him Grapey. Surely he's worth more to us so why let him go for less than his real value. One thing is certain, if he starts for England and plays well, we can just sit back and wait. Until the WC is over, the discussion is almost pointless, so I'll shut up for a start

It will be Watford unless Leicester allow schmeichel to join a big club and he'll go there.
Jack is good but he's not world class and I don't think Liverpool can afford to take another goal keeping gamble just yet.
Can't see any of the top 6-7 going for him and only if the better keepers like pope go to Liverpool or arsenal will Jack fill in the gaps.
Apart from the top 6 I Think next season could potentially end up a 14 team relegation battle considering how close the league's have been points wise in the last 2 seasons.

Pope has been a first teamer for one season due to taking his opportunity as Heaton's replacement. In what parallel universe does he suddenly go to a 'top' side? Also...if Heaton doesn't get back to No.1, what would be the chances of us nicking him as our number 1? We could certainly offer him good wages.

I'll be pretty pissed off if Jack goes for 30m considering the Pickford money.
As a club we should have a valuation (in my opinion min 35m) if no one meets that valuation Jack stays.

He'll go to a mid table Prem team for 25m, there'll be some keepers moving in the Prem and he'll be a replacement.
