Klopp will be on the phone on his return from Kiev without any doubt. Like to think the price can go up after the performance from Klarious. I would take £20M plus Mignolet.

He'll go to Liverpool after Karius' display tonight. That'll be £40 million please Juergen.

Jack's almost certainly going to be second choice, so I can't imagine it'll make much difference. How do you work that out? He has more than twice as many caps as Pickford and was always favoured by Southgate from U21's I'd make Butland favourite. Who do you go with, the keeper of a relegated side who’s made several high profile blunders or the player of the year for the team who finished 8th?

Condsidering Jack made a mistake (against Liverpool) as bad as Karius did today he's probably the last man they want as replacement.

Really felt for Karius tonite, it's going to take the rest of his career to live this game down poor bloke But, must admit that was almost my first response too, if Jurgen isn't already deep in talks with Jack's agent (am kind of sure he is but stc depending how Jack's World Cup goes), he has to be on the phone in the next 24 hours.

I think Butland will start in the World Cup for England.. Southgate worked with him alot at U.21 level so theirs already a bonding there, is most capped/experienced and edges it as the best out of the three who are going to Russia IMHO..
Think his future will be decided after England return home. For starters Butland has been badly injured twice whilst away on International duties so his fitness will remain a concern for any potential suitors who'll want him safely returned home before any substantial bid is made. Even if he doesn't start he'll be training hard for the next month or so, so there's always a chance he could get crocked or even aggravate his previously broken ankle or thumb again..
Not sure it would be popular but heard the other day that Southgate has in-depth knowledge of all our current world cup opponents & potential teams we could be playing against if we qualify & that he won't be scared to chop & change each team line-up to cater for the opposition we're playing. For this reason there's every chance he may even change the No.1 jersey around dependant on strengths & weaknesses of who we're playing.

We won't get anywhere near what many of our fans seem to think we will get for Butland. I'm also not convinced he will go to as big a club as many expect.

Said the same to my bin dipper mates, can’t help but feel for the bloke , he’s not good enough and probably knows it, but what’s he gonna do? Refuse to play in a champions league final? He’s been chucked in at the deep end and made some glaring, unforgivable errors. Memories that will haunt that young bloke for life. It’s a shame, but that’s competitive sports, it’ll break you or make you.

I don't think it'll be top 4 tbh, he still needs to prove himself with a bit of European experience for that but we should get similar if not more than Pickford went for.

West Ham, where he was spotlighted by Gary Neville. Burnley, where he really doesn't deal with the cross very well at all. Tottenham, where his positioning is all over the place.

I fear for England if Pickford starts. Opponents will learn to just shoot on sight, because he parries every single shot into the six yards box.

Don't expect him to play so ideally beforehand. There won't be too many teams interested in him who have the cash to spend. I really do think teams like Wolves and West Ham are the only ones who are potentially likely to want him for c£30m.

I fear for England if Pickford starts. Opponents will learn to just shoot on sight, because he parries every single shot into the six yards box. Agree with this. Don't get the love in (especially on here) for Pickford. He was dreadful in the game here this season. He fumbled 2 soft 25 yard shots straight back out into the middle of the penalty area that against any team with a half decent striker would have been a simple tap in (and an absolute slating on Match of the Day) His attempt to prevent to cut out the free kick that dropped a yard off the line and bounced in off Choupo Moting was even worse than Jack's efforts against Kane. I don't think Everton's defensive record (for a team finishing 8th) is anything to write home about. They conceded more goals than 2 of the relegated teams and only 10 less than we did. Pick ford may be better on the ball (but that might have something to do with the quality of defenders available for the pass out) but that should only come into play if all other things are equal. Pep discovered last year that a footballing keeper also needs to be able to keep the ball out of the net, which he addressed last summer. De Gea is not the greatest keeper with the ball at his feet but I would take him over every other keeper in the Premier League every time because he is far and away the best shot stopper.
