I think Moyes would be a great fit
We would immediately be installed as favourites in my opinion, I know that doesn’t mean a lot but it does say the bookies have confidence in us to return
Put this another way, I’m delighted WBA have appointment Moore as I think he would be weak. I would bet WBA fans wouldn’t want to see us getting Moyes as he has an excellent record imo and we would go into August full of confidence

Got a sneaky feeling for Pearson, with Walsh coming in to replace the receptionist.

Can't deny i'm in the Big Sam camp but Moyes would be my second choice.Hopefully we don't fall to 3rd and further beyond choices.Either of them would be more than capable of getting us back up.

Good manager, that with a project like Stoke , could be the perfect fit for us , and at last we would have a proper coaching staff.

I'd be happy with anybody who played for Celtic - Moyes, McCarthy, Malky Mackay (we haven't had a racist for ages) ... Macari, Dalglish Really.. Should have kept Lambert then! ;-)

Got a sneaky feeling for Pearson, with Walsh coming in to replace the receptionist. i don’t think so. It’s just too much of a coincidence that Moyes gets sacked, who happens to be a Peter Coates favourite, 24 hours later our manager gets sacked too paving the way Remember Moyes is fairly local too. Everything points to him

The appointment of Moyes would take some of the shine off Lamberts departure for me. I just think there are better appointments than Moyes (and Allardyce) out there.

If Moyes is our main target then I really do fear for our future!! His last three clubs have been abysmal. Why do people think he can do a job at Stoke when he couldnt get West Ham up for it even with an on fire Arnie!!?? He had a load of injuries to contend with at West Ham. He chanced upon a formation and set up (using only one recognised centre back) that won away at Leicester and drew quite comfortably with Man United. He also got a massive tune out of Arnie. They did fly close to the wind but they were hard it with absences. Lanzini coming back helped. I wonder if he'd bring Pearce with him?

I prefer Moyes for the image but to be honest, Sam has some graft and character which we badly need. I'm torn but would be happy with either at this point.

And so the 'oddswatch' begins. There were several odds on favourites at various points last time around. Bilic, MO'N, QSF and Rowett all had incredibly short odds at one point or another. We'll probably see lots of movement again this time too.

Changing manager is not enough at this point.
Unless its accompanied by recruitment department changes and chief exec changes its all moot. If those changes don't happen we will follow the same half arsed approach to everything that got us into this mess in the first place. These guys probably think they can be "even cuter" in the championship....... they have a proven record of failure and its inconceivable they can keep their jobs. I know what would happen in my business if my department was responsible for (probably) 25% loss of customers and major loss of revenue stream (not withstanding the parachute payments).
You could make as many excuses as you liked but you'd be out.

Something has prompted the board to do it now, rather than 24 hours after relegation or even the morning after Swansea away.Almost feels as though they were edging their bets,2 outstanding candidates available.2 men who to be honest we are the best they could hope for if they want to be in a job in August. We really are in prime position to attract either of them. For me now it's Big Sam or Moyes, nothing else at this point in time.

I hope so, but I guess that depends on whether our #1 or #2 choice is interested, available and without any other obligations. If they're currently employed or in any sort of demand, I'd imagine it will take longer. More likely to be closer to Bank Holiday weekend imho.
