Hope the club are aware of this poll. It'd be good if we could get the vote total up to five or six hundred plus. Any chance of pinning it to the top of the board?

Hope the club are aware of this poll. When I think the response has slowed down a copy of the findings will be sent to Peter Coates. Not c/o SCFC, but his personal email. I just hope we can get a higher number of posters to vote

14 games 10 points 10 goals scored 1 win Bottom of the league I still don't quite understand what argument there is to keep him? Yes man. Cheap. No Ambition. Nice Bloke
You accused Lambert of being yes man on several occasions with no evidence to back it up. If anything he's the complete opposite of a yes man. A yes man would have come in, pander to the ego's at the club and tell the owners what a fantastic job they've been going, He's done the exact opposite - challenged and got rid of those not pulling their weight and made it perfectly clear that the clubs transfer policy and man management has gone completely to pot - which actually doesn't put the owners in a very good light at all. And to be fair to Coates he appears to have got the message and taken it on the chin. So what exactly counts as not being a yes man? Standing on top of Mow Cop with a megaphone shouting Coates is a massive wanker to anyone who cares to listen? And how exactly is a No Man going to work out? How is a manager who is constantly at loggerheads with the owners going to move things forward? There's only one winner in that battle and it isn't the manager, You clearly don't rate Lambert, fair enough. But at least criticise him for something that at least has some grain of truth in it rather than repeat meaningless soundbites.

We did not want him before he arrived and, after no win in 13 games, we certainly do not want him any longer.

But at least criticise him for something that at least has some grain of truth in it rather than repeat meaningless soundbites. He is a really poor football manager, that's not soundbite that is truth. As a premier league manager he has won the grand total of 22 points out of a possible 105 points in his last 33 games. That is frankly shockingly bad and totally embarrassing. He cannot set up a team to take the game to opposition of a similar ability to Stoke and even worse cannot game manage when we go ahead against teams in and around us. He hasn't won a game of football in 13 matches, the majority of which were against teams in and around us and in those 13 games managed to score another grand total of 8 goals. These are facts not meaningless soundbites. I actually think he is the worst Stoke manager in my lifetime and I've been watching Stoke since the early 70's. A case can be made for the likes of Asprey, Kamara, Ball etc but they were managing a Stoke that didn't contain anything like the talent that Lambert has had at his disposal.

I have seen all our mangers since 1975 and has of yet I don't think Lambert is the worse and thats because its not his side yet, he might be the worse yet but Eastham had a talent team and he lost to Blyth Spartans . god we have had some shit over the years having we lol Read more: oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/thread/279515/lambert-stay-poll?page=4#ixzz5FDel0XqH

With regards to Eastham, he was thrown in to a no win situation, replacing Waddo after the Butler Street stand roof had just blown off, all the best players sold and Eastham having to play the season out using youth team players.

He worked an absolute miracle (very ably assisted by the brilliance of Hudson) in keeping us up after Barker had been sacked. Having kept us up with a threadbare squad, he was then forced to let two of his best players go because the club were stoney-broke. We then crashed and burned with three wins and relegation in the next season. Probably not cut out to be a manager, but doesn't deserve to be bracketed with the worst. I'd give Brian Little that accolade.

Hello Paul this is Peter Coates from Stoke City, would you take the job of manager you are our fifth choice everyone else has told us to fcuk off due to the terms as follows, you will have to work with the dross we have and have no say in the players we bring in the January window, will you be content to use the useless strikers we have on our books, considering the facts would you be confident of keeping us in the PL and work with Scholes and Carthorse, yippee YES PETER YES YES YES yep a YES man.

I think Lambert gets too much credit for our improved defence. Bauer and Badou have made a huge difference. Hughes was stuck with Diouf or Cameron or the rookie Edwards at fullback and Fletcher in midfield. We now have good defensive options and tbh any manager would get a decent defender with what has been available since Jan

Unfortunately our Chairman like a lot of our fans thought it was the way to go, living in the past as many people do in their twilight years.
