Yeah where is Davesview with all the speculation going on ?? Probably trying to think about anything bar football like the rest of us, easier said than done. It'd be nice if, after a relegation, we could switch off for a few weeks and get our heads around what's happened. Unfortunately we're not even allowed that small mercy. These fears that we're going to retain Lambert make that impossible. It feels like we're on the cusp of doing something completely unnecessary and monumentally stupid.

at 400 now.
I don't care if it's the Oatcake, the wind is gusting in a clear one direction.
it would be suicidal if Coates decides to keep him now...

It's pretty conclusive that only a very tiny minority want him here.
If it starts slowly next season then it's going to be toxic in absolutely no time. Get fucking rid.

I'm on the fence, got the team hard to beat in the Premiership so surely with a goalscorer signed we could challenge promotion, not arsed if he stays or goes.

He's got a record stretching back over his last 4 clubs at least they have all struggled for goals. Why try to swim against the tide successful teams in this era score a lot of goals and win a lot of games. Don't tell me but but but Burnley.

If Lambert was sacked on Monday, where would he realistcally end up, would even get a gig with another Championship club?
Unlikely I'd suggest.
And on that basis, how can WE be even remotely be considering that he is the right man to lead our instant return to the Premiership?

If they do keep Lambert they're just completely taking the fans for mugs. His record is abysmal and he's shown nothing in his tactics, substitutions or game management that he's capable of winning games this season, nor making a sustained, genuine promotion challenge next season.
The Coates statement they released last week appears to be meaningless as it seems to have been done solely to try to placate the fans in the immediate aftermath of relegation whilst knowing themselves that little or nothing was going to change in the management structure.
We really do need to let them know how we feel - the Oatcake poll is giving an overwhelming rejection for Lambert, the club cannot be allowed to do this or next season will quickly descend into open revolt if we are down at the wrong end of the table.

Tomorrow would be the perfect opportunity to tell them how we feel. I've read somewhere that a group of Swansea fans are planning a protest against Hew Jenkins surely we would do the same but directed at Lambert. Just wish I was able to go Swansea I'd of taken a Lambert out banner.

Joe Kinnear at Newcastle maybe?

Just look at the replies to Spinksy's tweet to see the general air of incredulity at th link. We're not laughing now.

And on that basis, how can WE be even remotely be considering that he is the right man to lead our instant return to the Premiership? I think he'd be looking at League One, wouldn't he? Or maybe someone like St Johnstone? Hamilton Accies? Once you're on the merry-go-round, someone will always think you can recapture it, however unlikely. But he is, objectively, more unappealing now than he was when he was rejected by Hull before Christmas - in favour of Nigel Adkins, which doesn't really need adding to!
