I'll give you a clue, Pete. Two massive problems that are sitting on their respective fat and waif arses, are sat in their offices steeling a wage from your club.
As for the statement, it's appreciated. But the proof is in the pudding and we'll know full well how serious they are at the start of next season with rebuilding the fucking mess. I just hope it isn't lip service.

Did you expect Coates to come out and say that they’re going to turn into wreckless monkeys that sack the manager if they lose 3 in a row?
The loyalty shown to managers and the considered decisions we make regards our manager are one of the biggest appeals for someone looking for a job.
I still think Lambo will go following the Percy article.

About the best we could hope for in as far as it's an admission of mistakes and that they fully intend to get us back up.
Cartwright is toast by the looks of it, Teflon will continue.

1.Their on going commitment explicitly spelled out is very good news and to be applauded.
2.Lambert's a gonna. No mention of him leading us back to the promised land, in fact no mention of him full stop. He won't have enjoyed reading that very much.

There’s no argument whatsoever on Hughes imo because he was at least 12 months past his sell by date I may be splitting hairs but I would say Lambert failed to save the club rather than got us relegated which sits at the door of Hughes as manager, those responsible for the recruitment policy over the last two years which includes Hughes, and those who delayed firing Hughes. I think the policy of giving a manger time is right and should be maintained on this occasion it just went on for about eight months too long. There's no doubt Hughes' management has caused some big problems and a rebuild would have been necessary this summer regardless. I believe we'd be doing it in the Premier League if he had stayed on though, which says more about how poor Lambert has been rather than rating Hughes.

Well, its admirable that they’ve come out holding their hands up to their mistakes. I suppose it’s a tighter line to walk when you’re the owner.
My worry though, is that that statement sounds very much like they are going to stick with lambert.
For me, that will be the nail in the coffin of any chance of an immediate return to the premiership
Hope im proved wrong

it says nothing, basically 3 points, we fucked up the transfers, we should have fucked Hughes off earlier, and we need to rebuild the declaration of independence it is not I remain convinced that nothing will change with an excuse about this being a transitional period in which we must avoid upheaval by getting rid of core management staff yet the lower down staff will be dispensed with very quickly to keep wages free for the men at the top in fact its so full of hot air it could relaunch the hindenburg Fuck me mate what do you want him to say? They are three pretty massive admissions of failure. Whether they've got the balls to carry through with the 3rd remains to be seen. On another note did anyone notice how many times they sneaked Denise's name in? Does that mean she's going to take a more prominent role in the club or were they just using her name to coat tail on as she is clearly the one with the business acumen. I'm sure a psycholigist would have a field day with that statement.

That's a good statement in my eyes, they recognise the failings of not sacking Hughes and signing players that lack the quality needed/core values required to challenge in the Premier league. Overhaul suggests to me that it will be more than a few players leaving this summer, managers/board members too. I like it. It seems very genuine. Of course the proof will be in the summer in relation to who we bring in and who we keep.

Surely the non mention of Lambert means he’s off? That's how I read it mate. I thought the omission of the managers name spoke volumes. I read it as he was staying 😁 when end I read this.... .....“We absolutely understand that this is going to be a great challenge and we cannot offer any guarantees. However, please be assured that we will do all we can to work with everybody at the Club to assemble a squad that can make us all proud again.” i like your theory tho now 👍

The fact that there's no mention of the tactically bereft numpty at all, coupled with both the Percy article and the fact that you'd hope that 'the family' can't possibly be that blinkered and stupid, suggests that Lambo is a gonner.

I think the fact that this is a "Message from Peter and John Coates..." and not really a club statement as the headline suggests, means the likes of Teflon Tony and Fartwright are in trouble, and rightly so. As is Lambert. The proof will be in the days following Swansea, no point in making wholesale changes today.
If they remove the 3 stooges then they have my full support and gratitude. If they stay with the "process" I fear for the future.

I think that speaks volumes considering his recent managerial pronouncements.

Couple of specific mentions of Denise - she's going to get more involved and add a bit of professional discipline to proceedings??? "We lost some of the core values" - they've already tapped Pulis up that if he doesn't go up with Middlesborough he'll be back here next season???

Loyalty isn't something you just pay to anybody though. Paul Lambert relegated this club - fact. Mark Hughes oversaw our best period as a football club in years and there's an argument for him. I’ve read some crap on here over the years but that is up there with the best .

I thought the same as well. The lack of mention of his name suggests that but then "We will always give people that little bit longer than most to prove themselves and this will continue"Suggests he could be staying, of course it could also be in relation to the Pizza Boys. Could be in relation to Berahino, Wimmer etc?

You don't need hindsight. This started last season. Changing Hughes earlier would have achieved what? 1 win out of 20 for Lambert?

For starters it would have meant we'd have had a much bigger pool of managers to choose from. Not simply two who were already in work and the unemployable numpty who we ended up with.

They’ve also been told they’re not to mix with their big mates Carto and Scholesy anymore as they actually smashed the windows with their mate Hughesy who’s since moved out of the area. Mum Denise is really peed that she’s got to pay a fortune to repair the windows. And she doesn’t even like the friggin’ neighbours either.
