Got them fitter and defending better, but that was it. Somebody new in, but I'm not sure who is out there. Defending better is worthless if you throw away every single lead we've had bar one. Sitting back today was absolutely unforgivable. Who the fuck sings Paul Lambert's Barmy Army? Fans??

Surely Lambert has been sacked now. What the Hell are they waiting for? The last game of the season. The one I keep forgetting about.

Absolutely disastrous appointment, 1 win in 14 including a number of winnable games. If we stick with him then it is massively worrying what is happening to our club. He was a desperate man out of work and not a good appointment . His striking Tacticks are crap even 5hough we are limited. discapline players yes but not when the bloody fans need them by not playing them

His record is clearly dreadful. I am not sure any manager has survived such a poor run. He's clearly the worst manager in the prem by some margin. Sadly he will be here again next season Coates has already said so. That’s the problem Coates is to nice perhaps if he applied pressure on Hughes earlier rarther than putting him a comfort blanket we could have got out of this mess

Maybe headless chicken running appears as if the players are fitter, the thing is I've never seen Diouf blowing out of his arse like he was today after 50 minutes. Not really sure we are that much match day fitter! I think the additions of Badou & Baur have just made us look a bit fitter because they are more sprightly naturally. I dont think it is necessarily a sea change within the rest of the squad?

Do we think, assuming for a second, in the realms of fantasy, that we might be up for not appointing a tired failure from the merry go round, that we might be able to tempt someone high profile as a ‘project’ club? Offer them a stack of money, back them properly, and might we still be attractive to a Quique or a Puel? I think that's what will happen Rob. I don't. Think he'll stick with Lambert .

Lol, @ people who think Coates has or is going to sack Lambert. He needs to fuck off and never ever come within a 4000 mile radius of the Brit again, sadly that isn't going to happen with pissy slippers in charge.

I'd given him the benefit of the doubt before today because of his lack of options up front.I thought with a different striker up top we could/should have won a couple of the games we'd drawn. However today was just awful. It's a hell of a lot easier organising a team defensively and training all week to keep a certain shape than it is to get a team to score goals. I was a big Mark Hughes fan and I didn't lose faith in him until later than the vast majority, the home defeat to Newcastle. He had to go though.I still believe he would have kept us up because he tried to win games and this league is full of piss poor temas, but that's just my opinion. We need a fresh start next season,no idea with who in charge but I can't bear the thought of binary football again.

1 win in 14 is the main reason he has got to go but coupled with his bizarre substitutions regularly and playing that useless lump up front every week tells me he has got to go now. I accepted relegation weeks ago and will be there next season as although not ideal at the moment we have been in a far worse position but it is the first time I can remember where I'm feeling that I am not really bothered about Stoke at the moment. Certain that my feelings will change but getting rid of Lambert would be a positive start.

Things could not have gone worse under lambert, the only good thing he did was up the tempo a bit and make us slightly harder to score against, but no harder to beat, he must be relieved of his duties, you can’t go into a new season with a manger who’s record reads “1 win in 14” 14 games is plenty to prove yourself and he’s failed miserably and we’re going finish bottom of the league! He has to go.

Despite having the worst strikers in the premier, Lambert should have overseen us picking up more points than we did. We only scored more than 1 goal once. We could have actually stayed up if we hadn’t given up so many points from winning positions.
Coates has made it clear that PL will be here next season which sucks. PL’s obsessively defensive tactics and inability to attack teams could be disastrous for our team rebuilding in the Summer. If his transfer targets are as inept as his tactics, and his wishlist is a bunch of defensive players then we are in big trouble.
Given how bad we’ve been, who in their right mind is going to want to play for us in the championship anyway? PL sets us up to defend for the majority of matches. Not attractive to prospective strikers is it? Or does he have a Plan B for competing in the Championship? Worrying times. PL has got to go now.

I went off after the game to Scotland yesterday and missed MOTD. Having seen the analysis it seems extremely damning for all concerned nor least the way we are set up.
I am hoping the 'process' when it takes place factors this in as it dispelled a lot of myths about working hard and not conceding goals. Utterly clue less!
He has to go...

There is no aspect of football management that Lambert is good at. He can't inspire the players. He can't inspire the supporters. Press conferences, don't bother. Substitutions by Lambert actually increase the chances of losing - which takes some doing. His pre match planning is a farce. His half time team talks always produce positive outcomes.....for the opposition. He will lose any players with ambition. No decent players will be attracted to join Stoke. He will offer contact extensions to Johnson and Co. as he thinks it is the cheap option. From a personal point of view he has no fear of failure, as he will eventually be sacked and given a generous pay off. Lambert must go now, or we face many years of struggle on and off the pitch.

If allardyce gets forced out of Everton then Coates should do everything to get him here, I’ve lost every bit of confidence in lambert, yes the players are shit but he’s exposed himself as clueless and not fit for the job, we needed someone to come in and inspire us but he seems to have as much charisma as a wet paper bag, he’s tactically inept as well. Hopefully the contract they gave him was dependant on us staying up, it would be depressing to think we will go into next season with him in charge

Keeping Lambert would be a suicidal statement of intent from Coates.
Supporters need at least some sense of renewed optimism for the coming season.
Lambert, Scholes and Cartwright are damaged goods and keeping them is a kick in the teeth.
