I know that both are improbable but if you had to choose one to happen this year which would it be? For me it would have to be England to win the World Cup. The reason being is that it is very unlikely to happen again in my lifetime whereas Stoke could possibly reach the Premier League again sometime in the next 25 years.

What a silly question, anyone who says England are clearly not a stoke fan, England’s players or based on club and not form so it’s all pointless

Stoke staying up.
I love England and can't wait for the WC, but internationals are a bonus for every now and again. Stoke are my week in, week out bread and butter when it comes to football.
No brainer.

Our country winning the world cup would be a way bigger achievement than stoke staying up. Sorry if im not as good a supporter as you But the OP asked which you would prefer, not which would be a bigger achievement. Winning the WC would be a MASSIVE achievement and i'd love it but we play a handful of games each year so it wouldn't really affect me football wise. Stoke results have a far bigger effect on my weekly mood than internationals do, so it may not be as big an achievement to stay up but it would be my preference out of the 2 by a mile.

Stoke to stay up!! I despise most of the England players for their antics at club level (except our Jack) and couldn’t give a flying fuck how they do at the World Cup. I turned bitter after Italia 90 and it’s got worse over the years.

Having had the dream of the last 10 years something i never thought id see i would go for the world cup.
Stoke have been in the top division multiple seasons inbetween now and 66 and odds are they will be again within the next 50 years. A world cup win is a once in a lifetime opporunity.

To try to make out like you're not a proper Stoke supporter if you choose the England option is pathetic and childish. My preference is Stoke, but i can completely understand the logic of someone picking the England option instead.

On the one hand although I expect Stoke to get back up at some point (whether one year or twenty) don't expect England to win the World Cup at any point. However am Stoke fan first.

You can't answer that properly tbh. Trick question.
Loyalties are with both for me. Being English means as much as being a Stokie really.
