England to win the WC. Whether we stay up or not will have no impact on Butland's future at Stoke, so imagine what being a WC winner would do for his transfer value...... .

Stoke first and foremost every time. I am invested in Stoke City every day of my life, whilst I have only a passing interest in the England team at major tournament time, usually to only be as disappointed with them as I usually am with Stoke!

As Stoke being in the top flight intervals are far more than England winning it, and as fan of both, England WC winners. But only just.

England to win the World Cup.
If we stay up this season we’ll most likely get relegated next season anyway, whereas there’s little chance of England winning anything in the forseeable future.

Win the WC, we can go down for one season and be promoted in the one after but we can only win the WC once in a lifetime.

It's a tough one.
When England do well, people get very emotionally invested in it and the mood of the nation lifts. Italia 90 and Euro 96 were fantastic once we were out of the groups and people started to believe we could do it. People who were around in '66 all remember where they watched it and TV shows and books are still being written about it. It's something I'd like to experience at least once before I kick the bucket.

Not even close - Stoke to stay up !
The last I was really interested in England was probably around the time when Rooney got stupidly sent off against Portugal in the World Cup - 2006 ? Since then I've not been bothered one way or the other.
Stoke has and always will be first and foremost for me.

Stoke will now become a yo-yo club, hopefully with a chance in the cups. I’ve never expected too much which is why I’ve spent 9 years over the moon.
England World Cup win please, I’ve lived away from home for 17 years and most fuckers think I’m from London 😡

Stoke to stay up! Really don't care too much for England unless there are some Stoke players in the side. Could of course hope for Butland, but guess they will go for Pickford.

I genuinely think staying up this year, and securing another year of this total mismanagement from top to bottom will hurt us more in the long run than going down this year.
But fuck it, Stoke to stay up.

It isn't a tough one at all, if it was a choice between Stoke finishing 12th or 13th in any divsion or England winning the world cup I would go with us gaining one extra place.

What a silly question, anyone who says England are clearly not a stoke fan, England’s players or based on club and not form so it’s all pointless Bullshit, just because somebody has a different view to you?

I can't remember England winning the World cup so I'd like to see it once before I leave this world. I've seen Stoke in the top flight in 3 different periods. Stoke and Proud English and Proud

Both would be ideal, but Stoke being relegated would sour winning the WC, whereas England being shit wouldn't detract from my "enjoyment" of SCFC one iota.
