From 3 must wins to 2 must wins, does he realise he can’t go down to 1 must win when we lose on Saturday

I can’t be arsed with next seqson already and this one isn’t over yet, felt exactly the same 12 months ago.

He is right, the players do seem to be giving their all but there's no getting away with the fact we have thrown our chances out of the window. Adams penalty miss against Brighton, Butlands own goal against Leicester, Dioufs miss on Sunday, West hams equaliser, Spurs winning goal all avoidable and the points we have dropped from winning positions is gut wrenching stuff.

The story that he has been 'tipped the wink' that he will be back next year to lead us in the championship is true then.
I suppose the only remaining question is can be beat Chris Kamara's all time record of only 1 victory in 14 games while in charge of Stoke City? He's going balls out for it and I fancy he can do it.

Phew- we only need two wins then! And there’s three to go yet.
We got one against Huddersfield- cant remember when- think it was in the 70’s! But im not worried anymore- we will be fine!
Fuss, what fuss?
God help is next season!

So he's staying? Good, now let's back him with proper players...
...What do you mean can we get them for free?

We've got him for the next 2 years unfortunately, not looking forward to it myself either 😂 That's the downer for me. I've accepted relegation since Everton at home. Last Sunday's game though has filled me with complete and utter dread at watching any Lambert team for the next two years. We really were that bad against Burnley. The comments he's made since being told his job is safe for next season makes me want to burst into tears. Expect lots of hoofing and brainless running dressed up as 'a return to Stoke principles' as we continue to draw and lose by the odd goal for ever and ever. Fucking depressing

Well that's inspired us all and given us lots to look forward to next season hasn't it ?
How absolutely depressing, deflating and bloody infuriating. Just when we really needed some good news, motivation, anticipation and even possible excitement of a possible new manager it's all been swept away in just one sentence.
Coates has got his cheap, useless, mind numbingly boring "yes man" manager in place and he's basically reverted to the Coates version when he was here first time.
I dread to think what our team and squad is going to look like next season.
I'm so angry and depressed at the prospect.

It really has become a load of bollocks! And we have had the unfortunate pleasure of the bollocks unfold for the last two years.
And there’s more bollocks to unfold during the next two years.
Failure- reward- more bollocks

He is right, the players do seem to be giving their all but there's no getting away with the fact we have thrown our chances out of the window. Adams penalty miss against Brighton, Butlands own goal against Leicester, Dioufs misses every week, West hams equaliser, Spurs winning goal all avoidable and the points we have dropped from winning positions is gut wrenching stuff. Just amended that for you...

With the messages coming from the club and Lambert this week looks like he is here to stay and he probably knew that from day one. Which means win or lose he won't get the sack so what motivation has he got to engineer a great escape? He may as well lose the next three as there is no pressure on him at all. It beggars the question if he isn't fired after such a disastrous run what does he have to do for Coates to pull the trigger? Two full seasons of Lambert is something I don't think I have the stomach for...still it will save me around £6,000 per year on airfares....cheers Coatesy!

And to think Marco Silva ANd Sanchez Flores are now both available still I suppose it would have taken decent money and backing to get one of those to ‘do a Wolves’ next season. I can’t believe Coates has bought into this bull shit that Lambert has spun its obvious he’s out of his depth yet because he does what any other manager would initially do ie bring a bit of discipline and togetherness and some work effort in he’s the best thing since Fergie....I wonder what Coates and co. Have been looking at whilst the games have been going on since January, mind you what’s all the fuss about we’ve only wasted 10 yrs of hard work it won’t affect Scholes and Co or the players just the fans, the extra employees at the club and the community as a whole!!!

Maybe Lambert would have shown a bit more courage and taken a few risks if his job had depended on getting wins and staying up, instead of being guaranteed a job for life as long as he identified the bad eggs and got the players to run around. We've messed this up in every way possible haven't we.

We've messed this up in every way possible haven't we. Indeed it's just another example of really poor stewardship from the top of the club. I know we were desperate after screwing up the whole process of replacing Hughes so choices were limited. It's been asked many times on here but I will ask again....why the fuck a 2 1/2 year contract? There would have been more choices in the summer if Lambert didn't perform. Absolute madness
