If true then the 10 year journey is over. The chairman has had his fun, realised that it's getting too expensive to live with everyone else in the Premier League and is reverting to type. Back to being a mainstay of the second tier.

If we don't start strong next season, how long before things turn ugly?

Maybe Lambert would have shown a bit more courage and taken a few risks if his job had depended on getting wins and staying up, instead of being guaranteed a job for life as long as he identified the bad eggs and got the players to run around. We've messed this up in every way possible haven't we. Indeed it's just another example of really poor stewardship from the top of the club. I know we were desperate after screwing up the whole process of replacing Hughes so choices were limited. It's been asked many times on here but I will ask again....why the fuck a 2 1/2 year contract? There would have been more choices in the summer if Lambert didn't perform. Absolute madness Makes no sense in any shape or form Lambert was a desperate panic appointment and we could have made sure that we didn't go beyond this season with any contract assurances given his status To have him already assured of a job next season given his awful run of results is tantamount to the highest levels of incompetence and this weeks comments by Peter Coates confirms that there is no sign of any change of policy or direction. Expect things to get a lot worse before they get better

Does anyone know what the extent of Choupo-Motings groin injury is?
It must be serious.

If we don't start strong next season, how long before things turn ugly? Don't win a game again this season then Lambert will be on thin ice already and have no credit in the bank to afford to have a bad start I'd give it 5 or 6 games (which is extremely generous) into next season before it turns toxic and he has to go.

Does anyone know what the extent of Choupo-Motings groin injury is? It must be serious. I haven't watched this one yet but if it is anything like the others it goes something like this: "Team news Paul?" "Yeah everyone's fine" "Choupo back then?" "No he's still recovering and not available, oh and players X and Y are doubtful too"

I wasn't happy with his appointment first off, but he was appointed and that's what we had to work with so I got behind him. I tried to remain behind him. He's failed in my eyes and I can't stand the thought of going forward next year under lambert. Nothing personal but I just don't fancy him to take us forward.
Why can't we do something different and look for a manager with future rather than the normal merry go round failed managers.
On the Stoke site there's a complaints emails address so please forward you're thoughts to it if you're in the same boat and let the board know not everybody fancies their choice for our future.

Same recording, just change the number by minus 1' . We have the worst manager in the Premier league,Coates is gambling we don't have the worse manager in the Championship. No we don’t. The one at Soton is miles worse.

So we are basically going to do the same thing again and dither about until all the decent managers are snapped up, until we realise we have no option but to sack Lambert at which time there will be no decent options available.

Vis Unita Fortior
How on Earth are we going to grasp our motto by the balls in a Championship scrap next season. And it is a scrap. The powers above are making things doubly difficult by keeping this manager on.
We are on the backfoot already.
However, it goes without saying I hope he proves me wrong.

"Rebuild the squad next season".. *shudders*
I've been given 20 names for the 11-13 likely incomings in the summer and everyone of them screams QUALITY.

It's like we've gone through the multi million dollar Hollywood reboot of Star Trek but now we're reverting to polystyrene boulders and b-movie monster suits. Because it's more honest that way.

His teams when he was at Norwich were quite attacking so maybe he will build something similar?

If we don't start strong next season, how long before things turn ugly? I'm hoping it turns a bit ugly once our relegation is mathematically certain. I'll continue giving my full support until then but once we're down we should make it known we don't want this useless berk in charge next season. With the shocking results since he took over, it's bonkers that we would give him a crack at next season.
