We've got what, 2.5 months from the end of the season to completely transform the squad whichever league we are in, knowing how bad we are at transfer negotiations this could be quite the task. We could potentially be spinning deals for near enough 11 players or more if you include ins and outs at the same time, it sounds like a fucking disaster to me.

It doesn't matter. Therefore, we have to pray for miracles. Relegated - and that's that. Not back for 50 years.
Every new player in a Stoke dress become worse. And better before and/or after.
Can't think of ONE single player that has developed during his stay at Stoke!!

Newcastle shipped out 27 and brought in about 14 in order to come back up. Some losses are inevitable (Shaq, Butland) and they need replacing. But then we need horses for courses too (e.g. Newcastle bought Daryl Murphy and Dwight Gayle and Mo Diame). We can't afford more than 1 dud, so knowledge of players - skills, weaknesses, temperament etc, is vastly important.
The first sackings and signing therefore need to be in the recruitment team. In fact we need to parachute in a ready made management team - including manager, head coach, fitness, scouts x 2-3 etc. We don't need a technical Director, we need a strong, clever experienced manager in charge of the playing side. And then Coates needs to step back from it, as he hinders more than helps.
The process should start on Monday for me, but perhaps after we are relegated at Liverpool.

I’d be amazed if it wasn’t at least double that

We pretty much all know we are down, but how long will it take for our fantastic transfer team to start work on getting the players. Probably mid July.

Its going to be a mad summer but what is certain is we need to get signings done early, in or out, to give them a decent chance to gel before the start of the season.

Badly with the Muppets involved expect only loan signings and a lot of outs
also remember there are different rules on finances etc in the championship

Lambert will be drawing up a list of targets already. I'm already excited to welcome Cameron Jerome back to fire the Potters to promotion.

How many players have become more valuable vs less valuable in their time here. Its got to be that too many have gone backwards,

I think the best tactic will be to keep the quality players that we have that we do have a chance of keeping like Badou, Baur, Indi, Shawcross and Ireland and look at boosting the first 11 with a decent PL loanee and cherry pic players from the likes of Brentford and Millwall who we should blow out of the water in the Championship. I'd love us to go for someone like Dwight Gayle who's shown he can score bucketloads in the Championship but isnt good enough for the PL.

First item on the agenda must be what do we do with the high purchase price, high wage, 5.5 year contract boys currently on the naughty step being Berahino, Imbula, Wimmer and to some extent Bojan.
If we can't move these players on, and I don't see how we easily can, no one would match their wages and contract duration even if we were willing to give them away, then we really are hamstrung going forward.

The transfer window will also close the day before the season starts if that comes into play this season? We don’t have much time at all

Be about 15 on their way out and probably 8-10 in, most of which are loans or totally unknowns

Anyone at the world cup will have extended hols and then window now shuts early. My god if fat twat and that other insipid twat are still at the club they've got to earn their corn this year.

We'll be able to have five loans, won't we? You'd hope that we could exploit that again like 07/08, we'll be an attractive club for PL teams to loan players to.
I'm not saying that this should be the be all and end all of our transfer window but could be a useful tool.

Loans are only good if you use them, for the last 2 windows we've left a loan space unused. Blame the board

Can see teams loaning players to us (all depending on who the manager is) over other teams as we clearly have all the facilities set up and have that premier culture embedded. I really can't see us spending much at all
