Stoke 2018/2019 Grant Johnson Cameron David Wheater(new) Edwards Lee Cattermole (new) Fletcher Adam Sörenson Darren Bent (new) Crouch subs: Haugaard, Tymon, Souttar, Shenton, Ngoy, Campbell, Diouf. ✌️ This is actually what I think. If we manage to stay up in the PL maybe we could perhaps keep 3-5 players further (Shawcross, Sobhi and Wimmer perhaps), but otherwise it will be like the list above. "Rebuild" will be Coates's new often used phrase. And, "we tried to bring others in as well, but hey ... this is football)", and "Young is the new old". Wheater from Bolton, Cattermole from Sunderland and Darren Bent from Burton. All relegated from the Championship. Cheap. But still £2.5M altogether. It's Stoke. Therefore, don't let this happen. Let's survive and rebuild in the PL instead! 🤓 telly, snickers ice cream, hair wash//:musik

Lambert will be drawing up a list of targets already. I'm already excited to welcome Cameron Jerome back to fire the Potters to promotion. I am actually quite terrified what you may come up with now as Victor Anichebe is a very real threat in the Championship

When the free agents list available.? Out of Contract PlayersI'd take Hernandez from Hull and Sakho from Palace to be fair...... James McCarthur, Marwin Hitz and Domenico Criscito too. Although they would probably be aiming higher than us. Could do worse than Junuzovic as well.

Assuming all the "bomb squad" are done with playing for Stoke City:
Grant
Bauer Shawcross Martins Indi Pieters
Badou NEW
NEW NEW Ngoy
NEW
Subs: from NEW GK, Edwards, Sweeney, Tymon, NEW (midfielder), Verlinden, Crouch, Diouf, Campbell
Attacking reinforcements will be key - we must find someone to score 15 goals or more, and another capable of double figures, if we are to come even remotely close to challenging for promotion.

Only one answer sack Scholes and Cartwright. I'm not convinced recruitment into their roles or the squad are our strong point 😬

75m in? Nooooooo chance. Won't even get 25m for Butland and Shaq combined. The rest are hardly worth anything. We'll be lucky to get 35m and that's only if we also sell Allen. 30m - Butland 20m - Shaqiri 15m - Allen 15m- Badou 7m - Bauer 7m - Martins Indi I hope not all of those go (and some others might instead - like Cameron and Pieters - albeit for lower fees), but that is not too far off their current values given today's slightly mad transfer market. Wimmer 0.7 😬

12m - Butland 10m - Shaqiri 5m - Allen 3m - Ndiaye 2m - Bauer 1m - Martins Indi 500k - Pieters 300k - Sobhi 50k - Wimmer 10k - Berahino

We need some pearls of wisdom from Davesviews
"Things are getting busy"
"We are interested in strikers from leagues 1 and 2"
"Burton need to sell"

We pretty much all know we are down, but how long will it take for our fantastic transfer team to start work on getting the players. Probably mid July. Probably first game of the season when there’s about 20k in the stadium

We scoffed at him when he played for us, wrote him off as crap with the touch of an elephant...but in that league we need a striker like Cameron Jerome.

The first two players I’d move heaven & earth to sign are Glenn Murray & Dwight Gayle.
If they aren’t achievable then we should be looking at the likes of Afobe, Mitrovic, or Vydra.
These are proven in this league & are not gauranteed to play in the prem next season.
After that I’d look to Huddersfield to see if we could prise Pritchard away from them in attacking midfield.
Ollie Watkins would be another i’d look to sign from Brentford.
If we can keep the impressive N’Diaye then bring in someone to play alongside him who has been there and done it in the championship. Billing would be ideal, another from Huddersfield. I’d be asking Leeds about Adam Forshaw as well.
The defence id imagine may be the one area that stays relatively the same, with likes of Pieters, Bauer, Ryan, Bruno, Wimmer & Edwards all with a good chance of staying.
I’d bring in Dean Henderson who has been on loan @ Shrewsbury to challenge Grant for the first choice keeper’s spot.
Then with the likes of N’Goy, Campbell, Verlinden & Sorrenson hopefully able to make an impact at this level. A few loans from premier league clubs thrown in to the mix as well.
We would have a competitive looking squad for that league, that would defo be in with a chance of pushing for promotion.
I’m not sure how much it would cost mind, but that’s down to the incompetent hands of Messrs Scholes, Coates & Cartwright.

A number of players are probably going to hold out until after they fail to make the impression that they expect to have at the World Cup. Their transfer value may actually decrease if they do badly or even fail to make a single apperence. But then again Egypt could have a fantastic cup because of Salah, and if Sobhi has an assist or two, every club in the business could line up to sign him.

I'd have a bit of James MacArthur too (as a Fletcher upgrade - only 30 so he has a couple of good years left in him to help us get back up). MacArthur? You need to stay off the rum I've never been impressed with him to be honest and I can't help thinking that we need a real midfield sitter who'll patrol that area in front of a back four. No idea who though... We need to find our Ruben Neves

They love him. But hard to argue with the rest apart from Prichard, they spend 14m iirc on him and is a regular we’d have no chance, I’d probably have a look at Bamford too, he seems to have stalled but has everything to make it (and has done in the champ)

Desperately need a pacy winger. Matt Phillips from West Brom or dare I mention Snodgrass.
For me I would go all out for rondon he's a perfect championship striker. Such a shame we didn't sign Jack grealish 2 seasons ago he would be that bit of midfield creativity we are going to need.

Reckon a few freebies and a loan signing will be all we will see.
Coates won't open the chequebook thats for sure regardless of who goes.
Lambert will have to work on a shoestring unless a player is available for a whopping £1.5m (however that will need to be done in instalments no doubt).

There is no chance we will sell ALL of our decent players it never works like that and it’s not like we’ll be desperate for the money. Shaq, Allen and Butland are definitely gone after that there will be another 2 or 3 but trust me our Championship squad will look pretty decent at the start of the season
