I just burst out laughing, it was a comedy sketch and sums us up nicely. Lots of effort but full of brain dead players.

He tried to play it quick, no harm in that. Yes it didn’t work out but get on with it. Shaqiri wasn’t going to put it in the top bin, took him 5 mins get over it. Fucking get on with it

Fucking get on with it He might’ve done, it was worth at least Shaq having a go surely? It probably was, but realistically is he going to score? Not really and he used that as an excuse to not try for the rest of the game. Could go all day about decisions or things that didn’t work that could change the game.

Could go all day about decisions or things that didn’t work that could change the game. Realistically he had a good chance of doing, yes? There was nothing on when Johnson tried that while Shaq thumped the bar from that range in our last home game. It was staggeringly braindead.

It was one of the single most stupid bits of play I've seen in quite some time.
And the useless git couldn't wait to do it.
He should never play for us again.

Fucking get on with it He tried to play a ball that was never on, you saw it coming before he even put the ball down, it was a shocking decision, made even worse when you've got Shaq on the pitch, good game or not he's still got a better chance of scoring it than Johnson has of making that pass.

Johnson shouldn't be anywhere near a starting 11 in the Premier League
The fat that he did that sums up why we are totally and utterly fucked

I watched Shaqiri, from pretty much the same position albeit opposite side of the box, smash it against the woodwork against Tottenham. I'd much rather give him that chance again.

If only we could have called on an experienced pro in that situation. If only we had someone with World Cup experience and 50 odd England caps to take a deep breath, slow things down and let our world class free kick taker have a shot from perfect range.
Remind me why Paul Lambert has Glen Johnson ahead of Tom Edwards in his pecking order?

I thought the Diouf chance summed up our season nicely. Then Johnson saw an opportunity to sum it up even more perfectly.
It was bloody criminal. Contrary to popular opinion I thought the team were trying their hearts out to craft any kind of chances and it totally the wind out. I don't know who he thought he was or what he thought he was doing. Was anyone screaming at him to leave it?

So what? The moment Dean blew his whistle the ONLY thing that should've entered the head of anyone connected to Stoke City was "Shaqiri". For a bloke with 54 England caps and a Premier League winners medal to do that in a game of such importance is scandalous.

It was moronic to say the least. Could’ve wasted a few mins but instead handed them about 5 mins of relentless pressure.
Everytime we get a free kick we just havent a clue what we’re doing. No plan, no strategy all season with them. We try something stupid and fuck it up pretty much everytime.

Shaqiri was raging for next 5 minutes after as well making his feelings known to Lambert about it.
