Sacrifical Lamb wanted, We need 3 Pointa......Has anyone got the bollocks to say if we win at Arsenal Saturday you"ll run around Hanley stark bollock naked Saturday night?. . Go on, for the love of all things Stoke, you just know if you did it will happen. Might be our only hope. We play Saturday and Arsenal have to play Sunday. Should at least guarantee a draw!

4. Name the forwards to improve our attacking ability/options; Moting? Jese? Berahino?? Crouch? Ramadam? We will never know as Lambert is so shit scared of losing he forgets about winning. Our front FOUR against Everton should have been a combination of: Sohbi/Jese---Shaq---Choupo/Sohbi --------Choupo/Berahino-------- It was shit or bust and he bottled it. I'm so fucking angry we have gone down as we have. We can all conjure up formations from the names above. The point was the complete lack of any forward power created by one Mark Hughes after nearly five years in charge. Only Diouf our free transfer signing (come fucking wingback) is missing due to injury. PL has got a very poor assortment to choose from. How many goals have we seen (collectively) from that lot

Lambert showed some shoots of recovery when he first came in.
But now we are playing as bad as anything under Hughes. WITH WORSE RESULTS.
Why is it so hard for a manager to focus equally on defence AND attack? Hughes obviously didnt train the players to defend, likewise Lambert has zero plan on how to attack and score.
What exactly do they work on all week at training???
Call me a maverick but why not split the 2 groups up and have a defensive coach work with the defenders and an attacking coach work with the attackers!!! Crazy idea I know
We arent gonna win games if Shaqiri is trained to track his runner and defend.

Of course, Lambert was at fault for the missed penalty, the ball spilled into the goal at Leicester. We have been a million times better since he came in. This mess is Hughes' making. Deluded ππππππππ

Just finished reading Cruyffβs autobiography, when he was coaching Barcelona he said that once you have the ball everyone should be a forward and the moment you lose it everyone is a defender. He delivered total football whereas Lambert specialises in total bollocks.

We had 21 points from 24 games under Hughes which averages out at (21/24 x 38) just over 33 points in a season.
Under Lambert (6 points from 7 games) it is 32.
Should we lose to Arsenal it will be 28 (6/8 x 38).
So mathematically speaking we are worse under Lambert.

Are you comparing points hauls which contain one game at home to Arsenal and one game away to Arsenal? Hardly comparable is it? Why isn't it? With the different games it pretty much evens itself out. And includes Watford, Huddersfield and Brighton at home where Hughes had them away for instance. So what is the point you are making?

However get your facts right, when did PL take his first training session and what date did the transfer window open. His predecessor failed to purchase a decent forward/striker in 4.5 years. But hey ho donβt let facts get in your way

I have a feeling it will show just what a disaster sacking Hughes was without a top manager lined up. Appointing Lambert was a double whammy and he is likely to end up delivering around 12 pts from 15 games, actually worse than Hughes. No surprise as Hughes is a much superior manager than Lambert.

He delivered total football whereas Lambert specialises in total bollocks. Total bollocks indeed. lol I get your point but are you really comparing Cruyff's methodology with that of Lambert? Lambert is clearly focusing on fitness and defensive shape through the whole team. Even Tony Pulis realised you need to score occassionally and had good attacking set-pieces (corners and long-throws) plus some wingers putting crosses in. Lamberts "plan" seems to be to hit it long to Choupo/Crouch and see what happens. That could work if you get players in support, but everyone else is so deep its a fucking suicidal tactic. I havent enjoyed the regular dickings we were getting under Hughes, but watching Paul Lambert's Stoke is like watching paint dry.

When we lose against Arsenal the gap will start to increase and put more pressure on the team. I am a realist and the truth is that we will be relegated before the last two games of the season. The frustrating thing is, there are a number of crap sides this year and we are making it easy for them by throwing points away. Brighton and Lecester and Everton. All games that we should of picked up more points. Gutted to say!

We do have a lot of piss poor players so hard to pin a lot on Lambert .
A fair criticism of.him is a lack of positivity in games . We have.to try to win them even at Arsenal as we are fast running out of games . Also dropping Bauer and Bruno last week was lunacy in my opinion .
we need to see a fair bit more in these last 7 games in terms of trying to win them if he is to deserve to keep his job .

I don't blame Lambert for Hughes's mess, I blame Lambert for being a dumb bastard starting Fletcher and Adam in some weird Scottish incestual manner no matter their form or ability every damn match. That's what fucked about the new manager.

I don't blame Lambert, nor do I defend him. Hughes built the team backed by the owners. It's Hughes' team but that being said, Lambert wouldn't have been my choice of manager. Unfortunately, the club put themselves in a position where there wasn't really much of a choice at all. Lambert was unemployed, was given the job at a team that was plummeting. He wasn't going to turn the job down but, at the same time, didn't have much of a chance of turning everything around in such a short space of time. No one knows if he'd have turned it around with more time and a full transfer window (I doubt it myself) but he just wasn't given that. The club as a whole have failed and we have been stuck with a manager who clearly wasn't anyone's first choice but can only do what he is capable of with very limited resources (mainly players and time).

And that......we shouldn't have got rid of Hughes? No.... I'd actually say yes to that. At the time we did it with no better alternative we may as well have let Hughes see the thing through to the end one way or another. And I think he might have found say 2 wins in the last 7 games where we have failed to win which don't forget included Watford and Brighton at home for example. I'm not saying he should not have been sacked only not when we actually did it. And I'm not saying anything I didn't at the time.

The thing is the board is too upright and proper in the dealings.
They sacked Hughes in the proper manner without having someone lined up. That is honourable but fucking stupid in this day and age when most chairman tap up a few coaches before pulling the plug.
I think if the fans and board knew the only option to replace Hughes was Lambert then he might still be in charge today.
Again though the board are living in the 20th century. Football is big business, and there should have been more planning behind the scenes to replace Hughes with someone half decent a LONG time ago

If comparing results in corresponding fixtures is the way it is going, Lambert has a good chance to claw some points back over the final 6 fixtures, as Hughes record over those games reads
Pld - 6 Won - 1 Drawn - 0 Lost - 5 Goals - 4 Against - 15 Pts - 3 GD - (-11)
Not so impressive really

I was late to the Hughes out party and one of the main reasons was a concern as to who would replace him. There were many saying "anyone but Hughes", which was folly in the extreme especially considering the "anybody" we ended up with. I'd have preferred Hughes to have seen it out to the summer (rather than Lambert) and be judged on his "I've never been relegated" statement. Apart from the questionable argument that he's tightened up the defence I cannot think of another managerial attribute where Lambert trumps Hughes!

I'm not saying Hughes would have kept us up but he might, in appointing Lambert we rubber stamped our relegation.

Real chance of points from West Ham, Crystal Palace, Burnley and Swansea. We should be aiming for 8 points from those games and obviously need to be turning draws to wins, paricularly in the Palace and Burnley games. If we don't then we fully deserve to go down.
