The Championship is absolutely shite. Thanks for that! People keep reminiscing about it like it was some form of dreamland. It fucks me off.

My thoughts on the Premier League and that match aren't designed to salve our imminent exit from it. I'm desperate to stay up. I'm just stunned that Chelsea turned up and did that today and more stunned that television companies from around the world are prepared to pay Billions to show it. It was a pathetic surrender and holds the league in disrepute.

I find it strange that a manager could wait until 78 minutes in a match to have a centre forward in his side.
Christ, how negative...

Take away your commitment to a particular club and football in general is pretty crap these days - whatever league, whatever country.

If we're going down, let's go down. It's the going through it that I aren't looking forward to. If you could fast forward me to August in the championship I'd do it.
The top six are getting stronger and stronger. The funs gone out of the prem for me.

The problem is the Championship is just as much a grind, i can't see us wanting to compete with those willing to spend down there, I don't think it'll be any better, just a few more shockingly boring games.

We've got Fletcher, Adam and Afellay contracted for another year. None are what you need in Championship.

Surely trying to achieve something as opposed to finish above relegation has to be better than the shit we're watching!!???

There isn't the same chasm of ability in the Championship as there is in the Premier League. Even Chelsea, the current premier league champions set up to try and not lose against a club currently on a different planet to everyone else and yet Stoke threw a game against Chelsea because we are light years behind them. I really don't wan't relegation but I've got to be honest and say the regular spankings we've had over the last couple of seasons against the top sides have completely drained any optimism out of me. I'd take a 3-0 defeat against Man City before a ball has been kicked, how is that living the dream?

If 12 teams went down this season none of them could complain.
The money has turned it into a festival of park the bus and scrape your way to survival.

Some of the best times supporting Stoke was when we won the old 3rd division and the 2nd division when Macari was here.

There will be more to look forward to next season. We knew this year would be shit. Next year might be worse, there's a good chance it will be better. I'd take a top 6 championship finish over this shit any day.

I’m looking forward to it. It’s going to be a cleansing of the club from top to bottom including the hangers on premier league plastic fans who will dig out their old pre 2008 Man U tops, or newly purchased Man City ones, and leave us genuine Potters to support the club when it needs us the most again.
It will be interesting to see who suddenly stops posting on here as well once we do go down, which we almost certainly will.
