Starting all over again, are we!!!???? Watch the game again and you'll probably find some if you want to, but I must admit I soon struggle to see what you will classify as a chance! To me it's a goal scoring opportunity to make that clear! I’m starting all over again because you constantly refused to answer the question once you realised you couldn’t actually think of any. I’m done now, I just think it’s always nice to actually base your argument on something tangible, rather than rainbows and unicorns. Finally something I can agree to, "I just think it's always nice to actually base arguments on something tangible"! It's good to at least have the same impression as both managers after the game that both teams had enough chances to take the 3 points. Have a nice day!

I think they both should've scored, they were certainly better chances than the goal. And certainly infinitely better than anything they created. They were awful. Look at FM's tweet, that tallies with what I saw tbh. I thought our performance was definitely okay in the circumstances. But I don't think that XG total of 0.2, which is about as low as it gets from any side, lies about how little we troubled them. We created absolutely nothing

He’s faded in every game so far, he’s never played in a league with such intensity before so will take a bit of time before we see him at his best. He reads the game well but isn’t as dynamic as I thought he’d be. On his YouTube clips he regularly picks the ball up deep and drives up the pitch but we haven’t seen that side of his game yet. He’s playing in a league where the intensity level is much higher. He isn’t going to be given the time that he had previously. Imbula suffered from the same problem. It’s much easier to pick out a pass if nobody closes you down.

We created absolutely nothing Schemeichel had one save to make all game didn't he? And that was the goal, which was a fantastic finish from nothing. We created naff all and don't look like we will. Like his goal against Brighton, that completely came out of the blue.

Did you watch the game? Shaq spent most of it drifting into the centre, thankfully this season he's found the stamina to get back into position most of the time. It will help if he fucks of Choupo and plays someone who gives a shit. Shaq shouldn't have to be tracking back. He was our biggest threat today but he didn't pose much of a threat and that's a massive worry. All of the front were isolated and got nowhere near each other. The formation has to change. Choupo should have dropped an age ago agreed. That right. If he plays in the middle, he does not have to track back to cover the wings. He needs to play there for the rest of season and he’ll score or create goals for fun. He’s wasted on the wing. I’d play Ramadan or, maybe, Bauer on the right wing and keep Shaq in the middle. If that means dropping N’daye or Allen, so be it.

Another reason we don't score enough is that we don't cross the ball enough. Virtually every other team I see, seem to break with pace and get numbers in the box. We hardly ever do that and I thinks it's a big reason why we don't create or score enough. Everything we do is slow, and it's not just because of a lack of pace; it's a lack of intent.

I have said it all season, and I will say it again, we haven't got the players to play any formation properly. Nail on head. We have been unbalanced for the past two seasons. It all started when we shifted to three at the back with two wing backs. We got half the equation right. We had the three at the back but failed to sign the wing backs. So now we've got wingbacks in Bauer and Staffy shall we go back to 532?

Don't think it's Lambert's thing, though.

We created absolutely nothing I'd say the Shaq chance alone where Schmeichel was scrambling is more than 0.2 for a player of his level. Add to that Campbell's poor run which i assume isn't counted, I think 0.2 is harsh. The vast majority of their score would be after the goal I assume? Before their goal we were certainly deserving of the lead.

But this particular model still had them slightly in front on XG all the way through - and doesn't seem to have given much weight to the Shaq effort after Schmeichel's mistake.

Shows how stats can be interpreted I suppose! Interesting to see though, we definitely capitulated a bit after the Butland mistake. Would've killed for a point before, but with how the game went it was a little gutting to not get three.

Really? What chances do we create? Shaq scored a blinder from nothing courtesy of their mistake and his other chance came from another mistake by their keeper. Beyond that we created absolutely nothing. Same v Brighton, same v Watford. Have we created many chances with any formation in the last couple of seasons? Are we just a team that creates little no matter what formation we play? It's always been the argument when defending our strikers and their inability to score. Very true

We have all seen glimpses of his potential, but now with 10 massive games left we need to see him take games by the scruff of the neck and start dominating matches, starting Saturday against Romeu & Lemons. That then gives us a platform to build on and score some goals. I like the look of the lad but promising cameos aren't enough from here on in.

I think Badou has been fine so far although I'm hoping that we haven't seen the best of him yet and that he can up his game a bit more.
As others have said he's very similar to Allen and that has helped us defensively because not having Badou means we have to use one of Fletcher, Adam or Affelay and none of them are what we need in midfield.
Fletcher hasn't got the legs to provide the energy we need, players go past him with ease, and when he's got the ball his technically ability on the ball leaves a lot to be desired, when he isn't getting the ball taken off him he still isn't able to do that much with the ball at his feet. He should be kept well away from the first team because we get far too easily overrun in midfield.
Adam is our most creative midfielder but as with Fletcher he just hasn't got the legs we need and when he plays we get overrun. Does his creativity, which far exceeds any of the other centre-mids mean we should try and find a place for him? Is he worth the risk defensively? I'm not really sure.
Affelay isn't what we need at all, I'm surprised he's still on the books really, he isn't physical enough to win the duels in midfield and doesn't offer enough creatively.
Badou, Allen and Cameron aren't creative enough as a midfield three but the other options means we're stuck with them.
Lambert needs to drop Choupo for either Ramadan or Jese and he also seriously needs to think about dropping Diouf. We were aiming high balls towards Diouf and he wasn't really winning much in the air and apart from his work-rate he isn't offering enough in an attacking sense. Maybe on option is to play Shaqiri as a false 9, let him drift wherever he likes to try and effect the game without any defensive responsibility, and get two of our wingers in the wide positions.
