Do they think staying in the Premiership is far too expensive, average players going for £20m. plus high wages?
Upgrading the players with more expensive ones plus their higher wage demands every season, must eat up most if not all of those £millions we get from the Prem.Shirley.

Yes. In fact they're currently in negotiations with North Korea for their first nuclear missile to target the stadium so they can just claim the insurance and use nuclear fallout as the reason why they have to shut the club down.
Small print in the season tickets though means even though there is no club, you will still be charged each year and the money will go to a fund for the player you complain about most.

cant really see the logic to this argument that the club will save money if we go down, surley a club with premier league status has a far greater net worth than if it hadnt. You would be spending far more trying to gain promotion again than any saving you might gain from relegation.

Going down is a nightmare scenario for any PL club - ours included.
To believe anything else is nonsense.

Seems extremely unlikely that there is a plan in place to deliberately bring about relegation.

Who gives a shit what the board want, it's a long long time since they read from the same page as the fans despite claiming to be one.
Every fan want's to be Champions League Winners, every Owner wants to be rich. Not quite the same is it?

Well if I was trying to organise a relegation, the last thing I'd do is sack the manager who's completely lost the plot just when he's moving into top gear in his kamikaze mission. Secondly, I would make it a condition for the new manager to pick Kevin Wimmer every game, and carry on with the madcap wingbackless wingback system.
So if they are trying to take us down, they're even more incompetent than I thought, which is very incompetent indeed.

Of course not. Nobody deliberately sets out to fail, but questions need to be asked of the decision making.

No ... but some in the media and some of the pundits might.
Some posters on the message board seem to be enjoying our troubles but I don't think they really want us to be relegated either ... they are just confusing criticising things that have gone wrong (which is fair) with screaming I told you so and believing that everything at other clubs is near perfect compared to us.
Keep the faith ... the board/club have enough problems without people deciding that we are being deliberately sabotaged from within.

The board might find the task of running a succesful and profitable club in the championship more viable long term than in the prem The prem is rigged in favour of the elite... They get the best players, we dont.. Eventually They win and we lose. And yes i know once every thirty years you get a leicester My girlfriend knew the chairman of reading when they went up, and he said to her, the prem was just more wages, more mardy over paid players and agents, more hassle and less chance of a win on a saturday afternoon. Basically he would rather be in the championship because for him, the prem was a game of poker miles too rich for him. If you cant afford to play the game, Do something else. Play another game.
