Doing things on the cheap will cost us our PL place.
Not prepared to go the extra mile when the writng was on the wall.

Should have made the relevant changes at the start of the season.
Completely useless, jobs for the boys.

Congratulations to the board- you relegated us before a ball was kicked. Anyone with half a fucking brain could have seen what needed to be done last season.

Failure to get a new striker this window has cost us our place. We have the worst striking options in the division and deserve relegation for doing things on the cheap.

It's ok having a go at Lambert for some crazy decisions but this whole situation is on the board and their dithering.
If we had a board who could think clearly and strategically we wouldn't be in this mess.
At every turn we left sacking Hughes too late and that really is the issue here. It all stems from that awful decision.
He wasn't going to wave a magic wand over night and he hasn't been backed as I would have hoped with no striker or another midfielder coming in. But with the time he had in the window that wasn't really going to happen.
We can moan all we like about where it looks like we're heading and it does look grim but it's on the boards head and no one else's.

Yep....i hope each and every one of the twats lose millions and have to sell their homes.....the only problem is they will fuck the us over first before they have to do that. Years of obscurity and penny pinching in the lower leagues is all we have to look forward to.

Doesn’t matter who we replaced Hughes with the writing was already on the wall.
Absolutely disgusting mismanagement of a football club, all this shite about “The Family” is a myth, they couldn’t give a fuck and it shows.

Let's be honest, Hughes should have gone after the Citeh game after the Chelsea game after the West Ham game after the second Chelsea game after the Newcastle game They arsed about and sacked him after the Coventry game, after the transfer window opened, great effort Coates and Co. Ignoring the fluff up of convincing our top three targets to be our new manager we ended up with someone halfway through the transfer window. After his appointment he still needs to meet the team, address key areas and aim for transfers with time not on his side and an inept group of idiots pulling the strings. Fair enough today he should have made his subs earlier (Hughes version 2.0, not just yet for me) but he's still finding his feet, I aren't going to get on his back yet. The people who aren't finding their feet are Coates Snr/Jnr and the Pizza boys, they know what needs to be spent to compete and they know what needs to be done to stay alive in this league. Self sufficiency? don't make more laugh, it's another term for 'filling my back pocket. January was a better window but we still needed a striker.
Lets get behind the boys, get behind the manager, it's not their fault the people in charge are more interested in their two for Tuesday orders than addressing hey areas of the team. Lets all pray and hope we've got enough in the tank to fall over the line.
But seriously, you need to take a long hard look at yourselves Coates and CO. Truly pathetic.

Lambert's improved us but he was appointed because he was cheap, available and British. I can't help thinking we could have done so much better and as you say that's down to the board or to be more specific down to Peter.

There are so many fingers in this turd pie, and each one of them should individually and collectively take some of the blame. But you're totally right, the buck stops with the Board. They've meandered and dithered and not been anywhere near ruthless enough, and we may well end up paying a heavy price.

They didn't back nor sack the manager in the summer, we desperately needed more players in the summer. The same players were needed come Jan 1st - Jan 31st, did we do anything about it.
It's alright saying the players are too expensive, but what will they miss more, the £30-£50 million it would have cost in the summer / January or the £100+ million we won't get from Sky TV.

The situation we find ourselves in can't be blamed on Lambert, no. He's walked into a mess and will do what his best to try and turn it around I'm sure. Whether his best will prove good enough is a different matter. Fans will (and should) continue to back him and the players as they are the only ones who can keep us in the Premier League now; our fate is in their hands.
But it shouldn't have come to this.
EDIT: It doesn't mean that Lambert is beyond criticism, especially after what he did (or didn't do) to affect the game today when we were in a strong position to get points on the board.
