Lambert needs to explain in his interview why he waited until we conceded two goals and the 82nd minute to take Crouch off to add some pace.
Shambolic and diabolic.

Lambert is not capable of keeping this squad of players in the premier league. We need a miracle to stay up now we are just not good enough. If he could be capable of penciling in any name from our bench post 60min we could've looks to be the opposite.

Anything less than 3 points against Brighton and I think we're going down.

Were we winning when badou went off? No 1-1 but the sub was already up to come in. Should have shelved that sub when they scored and got Diouf on for Moting instead

It was pretty poor management to be honest - starts with Crouch after banging on all week about Diouf being a striker not a right back and what a great finisher Saido is?

Kick in the teeth that Thought we were worth a point but Crouch didn't take his header and bad defending for the second. Have to win next week There was another chance when we had a break, but Crouch wasn't quick enough to get on to the pass. I swear if Diouf had been on we would have scored. Baffling why so many managers leave substitutions so late.

Can someone write a list of what went wrong? I left on 67 mins with score 0-1 to pick the lad up, got back with 5 mins to go and its 2-1.
Trying to understand, red card? Bad subs? Ref decision? Must have been catastrophic because we wete very comfortable.
Just seen replays Joe and Zoom got a bit mixed up and ball jammily ends on Kings foot for him to score. Was the 2nd offside?
Their equaliser was very fortunate.

It was as good as it has been lately but it is far to easy to play through us and their players were queueing up to score the second goal. It was really poor defending. I feel it is going to be a hard 3 months.

How many touches did Diouf or Berahino even get after they came on? Not bloody many. We were still playing as if Crouch was on.

Lose next week, we will be a Championship side next season.
Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles and a blind dog could see we needed a striker in the window, but the clusterfucks upstairs could not fucking see it.
Oh,and 12 lost against Newcastle and Bournnmouth.

Painful.
We just can't keep it together for a full 90 minutes, and haven't been able to all season (and well before that). Confidence, nous, energy, composure... whatever it is, it's not there.
Plenty of teams will trip over themselves between now and the end of the season; I hope to god we can just pick up enough points on the way to get our noses in front. But games are starting to come and go pretty quickly and we're barely treading water. We need goals from somewhere. I know people try pointing out our relatively healthy 'goals for' figure, but we've only scored 10 times in the last 12 matches, which has included Huddersfield (twice), Swansea, Watford, West Brom and West Ham, all with pretty poor defensive records this season.
Today's defeat is the first time it's hit me that we are going down to the wire with this one. From Jan and Feb's matches (4 out of 7 at home, and only Man U to play from the 'big boys'), I'd hoped we could get a healthy points haul to take us into a tricky March/April. Only 4 points from 5 games so far.
We need to win against Brighton next week, no question. Anything less than 3 points just isn't good enough.

Fair enough, we lost but everyone who can't see that we are playing much better need to get a grip. We will get out of this. It's a new time and although time is against us, the team is getting better. They're playing for each other and playing good stuff. Having a pop at Lambert when you can see a change in desire is a wank thing to do. Comparing this to Hughes' way of doing things is just ignorant and defeatist.

So bringing on another striker when we couldn't keep hold of the ball would have changed how we defended the 2 goals ? We had no pace either side Crouch who became a lonely isolated beanpole. So yes, Diouf is more mobile and could of helped in the midfield...
