As Hughes and his lieutenants will find out when they land somewhere nice and cushy soon. Does Rob mention that?

On the surface he makes a good point about all those back in jobs. The issue is though, there is that much money involved clubs are to scared to take the risk on the unknown. In our case we all know Lambert was not first choice but it is what it is. All we can hope for is that after having success in his early managerial career he has now learnt from his failures.

A bit like motd pundits who know nothing about any team outside the top 6 and just repeat the media's take on any club
- land of the giants. - dangerous from corners. - no one likes going to stoke. - style of play has improved.
easy number that Mr savage, good money for being two years behind the times and knowing little about current performances.

Of course they get new jobs though, there’s a very finite number of experienced managers in the game. It sounds ridiculous but even The worst find themselves back in demand.

When was Robbie savage a decent manager? I mean I could criticise many who I don't think are successful, look at the PM BUT without doing their job how can I?

Savage should give it a rest. He wasn't even a particularly good footballer. Mark's latest in a long line of poor results cost him his job, and I so wanted him to succeed. He gave us some really good times, but then lost the plot. He had to go!

This guy is an utter twat....I can’t bare him.Hes intrinsically thick and he thinks the “heart on the sleeve” bollocks he churns out endears him to proper footy fans, when basically all we want is informed comments and considered opinions instead of his hysterical nonsense. Ive got it on good authority that he’s as much of a cock in real life as he comes across on the box.

This is very poor from Savage, and I am supprised at his unprofessional comments.
Sometimes you may have an opinion but you keep them to your self.
Is there ahistory between Lambert and Savage.? I don’t know.
If this is just sour grapes about Hughes dismisal and Lamberts appointment, all I can say is,WHAT A PATHETIC COMMENT.
Savage has ceartainly gone very far down in my estimation.

99% of managers fail to some extent or other, it's the nature of the job.

No industry rewards mediocrity more than professional football- he’s right there. He’s a shining example of some half brain being paid enough never to have to work again by being fairly fucking average at his job. And then after retiring he can still be enough of a shock-jock to justify what is certain to be a six figure salary in punditry. He works on raising hackles rather than valid points as he wasn’t anything more than bog average. And once again the opinions of the professional are a mile wide of the mark as we the public are neither blind nor stupid. Can we all be wrong and he right? Duck arse haired wanker.

99% of managers fail to some extent or other, it's the nature of the job. This is very true. One thing all managers will get, unless circumstances are extraordinary, is the sack. No matter how good you are or were. It’s the nature of the beast. But they cash in on the sackings too, so it’s a hell of a cushion.

Should keep his massive hooter out of our business. Easy for him to criticise managers who have failed in their jobs whilst he sits in his ivory tower as a radio pundit. Best place for the ugly prick!

What Savage, and so many others, fail to accept is that success and failure in football are relative concepts. Only one team can win the league...does that mean all the other teams, and therefore their managers, have failed? Look at Wenger...how many consecutive years of qualifying for Europe? Has he been a success or failure at Arsenal...if he left, would he get another job (if he wanted one) How many times has TP been sacked yet he is so often the "go to guy"? Often it is about expectations...for a couple of seasons Sparky did raise the bar, and our expectations, but more recently he fell below even what we might have expected in our first Prem season...the players ae not blameless...nor the directors and owners...but it is the manager who pays with his job...other may follow of course The manager carries the can, whilst the players tend to get away scot free. I wonder how many of Savage's managers ever got sacked...and how much blame / guilt he took on his own shoulders? A manager may "fail" for a variety of reasons, and usually a combination of several. If the main reason is a lack of investment it is unlikely that the Board would blame themselves

Savage is often in the Pro Manager camp and seems to be anti sacking. The best thing about Savage, when he is doing a radio call in show is that he will allow himself to be slated and he will respond with his view. He doesn't just cut the caller off.

Living off Fredy Flintof at the mo.
Flintof is very amusing and articulate, Savage boring and a hanger on.
If you have not heard their Podcast with the Ping Pong guy it is quite good listening.
