Unfortunately we've become desperately in need of striker options. Something that shouldn't have been the case given a transfer window has only just closed. Saido only needs games And 2 new feet... Actually, can you have second- hand feet? there's a thinker...

Diouf will average a goal every third game if he is staring all the games for the rest of the season. It might not be good enough, but we don't have anyone better so let him play!

Looks like a no then. You'd at least give yourself the fucking option, wouldn't you.

The fact that we haven't even brought him back as an extra option, must point to the fact that it can only be down to money

The fact that we have given the number 27 shirt to Badu means that it is game over for our little Spanish maestro I often wonder how far we would have gone had he not picked up that injury at Rochdale. He was flying, we were flying, things couldn't have been better at the time and then a freak injury made a massive difference to us and him. Thanks for some fantastic memories but I doubt will ever see you in a Stoke shirt ever again.

He'll be happy to start with a new shirt and a completely wiped clean slate with a new manager, a new role, and a new division to play in next season. He might even star for us again if he gets the proper position for him.

The way people wet themselves over Bojan you'd think he'd contributed as much to the club as Matthews or Banks. He was good for about three months, beyond which he was either crocked, sulking, playing shite or away on unsuccessful loan spells with bang average clubs. Joselu managed to deliver more at Deportivo than Bojan has at either Mainz or Alaves - and we somehow managed to shake £5m out of the "Toon" for him. As long as he has a contract with Stoke people will still be tying yellow ribbons to the lampposts along the A500 - but please - come summer - let's move him on (if anyone will have him).

He might even star for us again if he gets the proper position for him. If it was ever going to happen, he would be here by now. That Spannish ship has well and truly set sail on a one way journey. His contract runs another three years and nothing suggests that buyers are lining up to sign him. He's probably not the player you'd look to if you were trying to escape relegation, which is exactly what we are. It's better to bring him back in the summer and see if he can be reintegrated to the club's current players. I think he'd be good with Ndiaye behind him. If he fails the only way out is to give him a free, which is unlikely to happen, becaiuse we would then have to pay up the three years wages he is due and we get nothing in return. In other words we would have to accept further losses in addition to those we already face with the big three. It just doesn't make sense from a business point of view and anyone can see that.

As long as he has a contract with Stoke people will still be tying yellow ribbons to the lampposts along the A500 - but please - come summer - let's move him on (if anyone will have him). Quoted again. Pre-injury: Apps: 18 Goals: 5 Win%: 33% Post-injury: Apps: 36 Goals: 10 Win%: 36% 2015/16 (the last season in which he started 3 or more games in a row.): Apps: 27 Goals: 7 (2nd top scorer) Win%: 41% The last time Bojan got a run of 3 or more games for any team was after the Tottenham game of April 2016. He had scored 2 in 2 before that. This just takes into account goals and win percentage too. No mention made of the fact that in 2015/16 his performances with Arnie and Shaq brought the best performances I've ever seen from a Stoke team, that left us 5 points off the top 4 with 7 games to go. Or that taking just his goals away (not his performances) would leave us 20 points worse off over the 45 games he played in his first two seasons. This is the weirdest and most confusing case of selective memory from a large group of Stoke fans I've ever seen. It's even weirder than 'Ryan Shawcross is past it'. Get this argument in the bin where it belongs. Read more: oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/thread/275930/bojan-return-lambert?page=3#ixzz56cscFJ2i

So if he was winning games single handedly - why was he dropped? And why isn't he doing it anywhere else? But even if you *just* look at the bare statistics.. who do we have in our team now that’s likely to bag 10 goals in 36 games?

The fact we haven't brought him back even to just be a decent option says everything about the club Worst case scenario, he's the best No.10 we have, even on a bad day he can magic something up Best case scenario, he finds form and yeah... But hey, as long as we're saving money as we very realistically face relegation all is good

Also hasn't started 3 games in a row since Hughes dropped him in April 2016, when we were 5 points from 4th with 7 games to go.

You might argue the way some fans are so keen to take a deliberately contrary and bitter view about Bojan is equally bizarre. So keen to write him off. What harm would it have done to see if we could reignite him? He hardly strikes as a troublemaker around the place! He doesn’t fit a 433 unless we played a false 9, but I recall that working once or twice in the past. Worth a try over Saido any day. And fits a 4231 like a glove.

Hasn't he had spells at "football" (non hoofball) teams in Italy, Spain and Holland and never managed to establish himself with them either.
