It is definitely time for Peter to be replaced by John as chairman.
John needs to plan who he can get to replace Lambert in the summer & at least try for a promotion campaign. He also needs to look for an able chief executive.

It is also worth noting that only John Coates & Tony Scholes were quoted in the Lambert press release. No Peter in sight. Not true based on what's on the official website: Peter Coates said: “Paul greatly impressed us with his knowledge of our squad and had a clear plan of how he would improve our results. “He’s a man who backed himself as a player, none more so than when he turned down contract offers in Scotland to go on trial in the German Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund, and it’s obvious he adopts the same approach as a manager.” Yeah, I have seen his quote since. It wasn't on the original press release though.

It's clear that Uncle Peter has gone delirious and forgetting to take his medication, hence the appointment of Lambert. The old codger is so out of touch now it's incredible, he strikes me as the type who would think it's acceptable to wear socks with sandals with 3/4 length jeans on a hot summers day, completely separate from the actual reality around him.

spot on I also think that clearly Coates is a good guy to work for, rightly or wrongly he gave Hughes time and funds. There is no doubt the club is head and shoulders better than when the Icelanders had it. Whatever happened I refuse to blame Peter Coates Why? He couldn't see the wood for the trees with Hughes and it has lead to this. It's entirely his fault. hmmmm. I see your points. Personally I think cartwright and scholes are more culpable to be honest

Who was speaking to the press saying he couldn't see what the fuss about?

Coates the younger has to take over. We need a clean sweep in all of the main roles, that's been obvious for ages.

It is a pity the did not do due diligence on
Wimmer and Imbulla ( I am still not sure there isn't a premiership player in Berahino but I am sure there isn't in these 2 cocks ! )
36 million spunked away
the most important individual at a football club has to be the manager and they tried to penny inch
fucktards to a man eh, you say the most important person is the manager and blame them for spunking £36million plus berahino away, as they penny pinched and they didn't do due diligence. Well they gave the manager £50m for those 3 and Isn't it the job of the manager and recruitment team to do due dilligence on players?

What I can't get my head round is why such a committed europhile as Peter Coates is so fucking terrified of Johnny Foreigner. Have you met my Dad? Born in Goldenhill 84 years old and set in his ways like most men of his generation. NEVER listens to his children, does EVERYTHING his way, the same way he did it in 1960s. He charged my mother for the vegetables she used from his allotment out of her house keeping allowance. Anyone disagrees hit them with a pit belt. Not just an older generation it was another world where money was in short supply. Europe is good for Bet365, money always comes first.

Is this the same Coates family that has just given you ten years of Prem football? Some of you need to take a long hard look at yourselves. You're as bad as fucking Arsenal 'supporters! If Lambert is appointed, at least give the bloke a fucking chance! OS. People will, we clearly have massive issues at board level and have for years. Peter needs to step down. What do you mean “have for years”? How many years? What issues? We have consistently outperformed what our wage bill would predict, been way more successful than a Club with our crowd, catchment and international profile could expect for a decade and have Very strong finances. Benchmark our commercial revenue against the division and you will see we generate more than our peers on a like for like basis. Please provide evidence for what i believe is a lazy and ill-informed assertion

Peter Coates John Coates Richard Smith Tony Scholes Mark Cartwright
all five of those men have failed this club in the last two years, we were on the verge of something special after that 6-1 demolition of Liverpool and then the carling cup run to the semi final. However, since then its been an absolute shit show and if that results in relegation then those at the top HAVE to be held accountable.
