He won't buy the players, set the tactics or pick the team.

I don't think thats the problem for some, the fact he's there at all seems to be the annoyance.

A lot of people accusing him of being a bully, there is no evidence to suggest he is a bully.
One thing is clear, and he repeats this in his autobiography, he cannot stand it when people don't give their all. And his managerial career is not without success.
Also, he has clearly matured in some ways, as he has had a successful working relationship with O Neill in recent years.

Sets high standards and expects those around him to do the same and not afraid to tell people they aren't doing enough. No problem with him and think he will do well with MON at Stoke.

Shaqiri’s calves will pop the minute that Roy unleashes his icy glare. And as for Nigel’s inane post match questioning...
Fuck it, i’m going to try and enjoy it all in a perverse kind of way. This is the looney tunes club that I fell in love with. I’ve had enough of sensible and stable crap. Bring on the madness and despair 😀
Nb. Dunna think MON and Keane would be too bad. Que sera sera and all that

I’d like to see Shaqiri not running for a ball with Roy sitting 20 yards away.

I like the fact there will be somebody there handing out a few home truths. This group of players has been hiding for 18 months, and not been held accountable. Keane wouldn't think anything of chewing a few out. As for Keane, seeing a lot of people on here slating him - none of us know him, none of us have been in a dressing room - he won't be Mr Aggressive 24/7 - nobody could live their life like that. An experienced manager such as O'Niell wouldn't have Keane in there if he thought he was a ticking time bomb everyday. One thing Keane is, is a winner. So at least we'll have one winner in the dressing room, that's one more than we've had for the past 18 months. EDIT - Also, O'Niell will turn us down and we'll be talking about Graham Potter tomorrow

I cannot believe what I'm reading! Have you all forgotten that this poor excuse for a human being deliberately ended a fellow professionals career? Keane INJURED HIMSELF in the act of fouling Alf Inge Harland, but then decided to take revenge on Haaland with a shameful assault on the player (it's on YouTube) It seems football really has plumbed the depths if this bullying thug is welcomed to Stoke, and if he is I for

I've read all of those mr coke and I've seen no evidence there that he's a bully. Outspoken? Opinionated? Yes. It sounds like he also digs out players in front of teammates if they let the side down. Well I think we need that at stoke and a big criticism of bilic when he was named on here is that he doesn't do that

He's what some of them need! We won't see any more I can't be arsed to chase that ball attitudes. He has hardly been outrageously successful anywhere else. Additionally, our team must be utterly devoid of confidence right now. I don’t think some Victorian workhouse throwback, giving them a load of abuse is necessarily what is needed.

If our players don’t like the truth then fuck em. Get those in who want to run and play for Stoke. Roy Keane will be disruptive. Good.

Maybe the time is right for someone with balls to come in and tell them what what a bunch of under-performing, gutless shits they have become. If the players have anything about them they would want to prove him wrong.

Took over as manager at Sunderland when they were in the relegation zone of the championship and they ended the season as champions! You don't call that success?
