Quite. Lee Sinnott could’ve got them up with the budget Keane was given. Don't remember Iain Dowie doing that so that's a strange analogy Money or not he spent it correctly, maybe Sparky should have given him a call! Iain Dowie got Crystal Palace promoted. With a much smaller budget than Keane had. Don’t think it’d be much help to Sparky, once Keane got up to the Premier League he didn’t spend much better than him.

I remember Roy Keane's innovative solution to the long throw - tell Michael Chopra to stand in the way and get booked. We did, of course, go on to score a winner via a long throw.

I suggest you do your research about Dowie and Crystal Palace then, nothing strange about my comparison. H

I know Iain Dowie got a team promoted via the play offs, what I said is he didn't take over a team in the relegation zone and lead them to the title Keane was appointed in August. They were hardly adrift. He was given around £10m to spend, which at the time was a metric f**kton by Championship standards. Dowie was appointed with a fraction of that budget with the team 19th in December and got them promoted that same season. I know what I think the greater achievement is.

We have players giving interviews saying that they "gave up"
We have players saying we are "mentally weak"
We have players who can't be bothered to chase a ball
We have players who don't even know what day we are playing
We have players who constantly turn up late for training
The players need discipline and organising, How can you not know what day we are playing FFS? Especially when its been all over the media that we hope to get a new manager in before our next game on MONDAY! I heard that at United players didn't dare to be late for training, not because of Fergie but because Roy Keane demanded high standards of those around him.

Will be a very good appointment as an assistant manager. Tell us more haway He’s a disciplinarian and instantly demands respect, he’ll demand that the players apply themselves on the training ground and not slack around. Trouble with Keane is keeping his cool but as an assistant, the spotlight will be off him a bit so won’t have to worry about that as much. Despite the experienced names we’ve had in the past, Roy Keane has been one of the better managers for us.

He's what some of them need! We won't see any more I can't be arsed to chase that ball attitudes. He has hardly been outrageously successful anywhere else. Additionally, our team must be utterly devoid of confidence right now. I don’t think some Victorian workhouse throwback, giving them a load of abuse is necessarily what is needed. As others have said, we were heading to league one and he got us to the prem and kept us up before it got a bit tough for him. I have no problem with Keane at all.

Will be a very good appointment as an assistant manager. What about the guy who he'll be assisting? A dinosaur but will want his team to work hard and does know how to organise a defence. Some games will bring memories of Pulis but he will be a very good short-term appointment.
