No I am saying if we get rid of the Coates family which most of this board wants, then how will we pay the players on 18000 crowds if we are lucky.Sunderland are a much bigger club than us and look what financial trouble they are in when the owner stops putting money in. If peop,e really think we should ru the Coates family out of town, then they need to give their heads a wobble. Sure they have made some mistakes over the last 18 months, but they still have the club's best interests at heart. This relegation will hurt them as much as us and it will be interesting to see how they react. Scholes and Carto on the other hand should be butt fucked by a combined harvested. Spot on Edward Spot On!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me and my mate's will, always have and always will, to be fair apart from a dozen or so games since we've been in the prem that was brilliant the championship won't be much different.
It's more of a social thing these days for us, meet up have a few drinks a good laugh then 90 minutes of something then home and repeat the next week.
The worry for me is if we do go down with the players that will no doubt jump ship, what we will have left just simply won't be up to the fight of a very tough and competitive championship.

It most certainly won't and I expect them to jump ship if we go down. Pete's not getting any younger, Denise doesn't give a shit about the club and focuses on bet365 (fair enough). John and the rest of the board just hang around in meetings discussing ways to sell individual seats to families. It's a sad state of affairs. With some proper planning and investment we could have been so much further ahead in terms of infrastructure than we are now, and they've hidden behind the short term success of each manager. Only pumping in the minimum high value transfer signing each season, but not much else.

Tbf the majority of posters on here id say would renew as we spend most of our time away from the club moaning on here about how shit we are.
It's those that start supporting at kick off and stop at full time that won't renew. We won't get more than 15k including away support next year.

I go back and forth on the family but in their last 12-13 years they've done more good than bad and that for me earns them the chance to get us out of this mess. We ain't got a choice anyway no one is buying us and they won't sell up it's that simple.

I don't think losing local support will be an issue. I think we'll still sell out most games if relegated.

Mid week games will be closer to 10k than 15k. We'd sell way more than that in season tickets alone. You're massively over-egging the drop, I'd say we'd sell around 16,000-18,000 season tickets and average 20,000+ for the first season. After that would be interesting in terms of pricing and whether fans would renew if we had a season of mid-table consolidation..........

I've been in a trough of despair since Saturday. I've been in a self imposed football exclusion zone, no MOTD, no newspapers, no Oatcake, no 5Live, no Twitter.
Only just have I dared venture back in to my football world. The first thing I saw was this thread.
Despite the pain of this weekend and the knowledge that there's more to come I'll be renewing. Never any doubt that I will, next season and every season.

Those quoting 10-15k are way off the mark. But you're right if we do go down and then don't bounce straight back up that will be the telling time. Its then that maybe people wont renew (I wont be one of them - id renew if we were non-league). People will renew this year because they will want to keep their seats on the early bird because at that point relegation wont be decided and they wont want risk losing their seats. Others will renew for a similar reason even if they think we are going down because they will want to keep their decent seats if we return to the prem after one season. Personally id sooner the JCL's fucked off now tbh.

I'll be going but I'd feel a little easier spending my hard earned money if some of the overpaid fuck wits who've ruined our club over the last few seasons were shown the door. Bitter and vindictive? Fuck yes!!!

If we look like there's a solid plan to get back and build something then we won't lose everyone. If we carry on looking so half-arsed on and off the field then we'll lose a lot. I'll renew, I got my first ST in 2012/13 so watching more than a few games a season in the Championship will be a relatively new experience for me, would love to see a full-blooded effort from the board to bring us back and make up for the last 2 years.

I had a Season ticket for many years in the Championship (and lower ) so why wouldn't I renew? This is 'my' club...players, managers and even chairmen, come and go...Stoke City will (hopefully) go on forever

Club should allow all those who have had a ST throughout the Prem years a free renewal in view of the shit served up these past 2'years - seriously.

Am I fuck renewing, prem or championship I am not renewing, a few reasons to be honest but one is we have over 100 million coming in to the club and these fuckers are taking the piss with the transfers and players being served up. Nah fuck it I have had enough I am going pick and choose, after the recent years there will be so many match day tickets available you will be able to sit in the dug out if you fancy it

Why wouldn’t you renew? If you’re a genuine fan of the club then you’ll go no matter what league we are in. It’s not just the football, it’s the whole routine which makes it far better. Be glad when the day trippers and 08 fans piss off.

ST prices have been frozen since before promotion, technically meaning they got more expensive for the prem years despite saying the same price, 19 games for the price of 23?
so therefore we could be going back to 23 games for the same amount we paid before promotion, now many things such as inflation etc change, can somebody give me a straight answer on whether we are better or worse off?

Attendances will plummet - end of story. 15k maybe 20k on a good day if things go well. A lot of newer supporters will find no attraction in the low key nature of the fixtures and large numbers of the older hands have frankly done all this before and find little attraction in returning to the grind of the lower leagues having done 25 years of it already.

Not too bad for me as I'm retired but my mate has to take an early dart from work and we don't get back till around 1am - and then he has work again in the morning.. But we'll be renewing - it's what you do, isn't it? And it gets me away from the wife for a while...

OK - free maybe an exaggeration but I don't see why a loyalty discount for those with >9 seasons ST holding in view of us not yet knowing which league we'll be in - an incentive may be needed to address those who have either had enough or are wavering - and for the record I didn't suggest I wasn't renewing and I too remember being mid-table in the old 3rd Div....
