I disagree, I don’t think he tweaked anything, he just used it as an opportunity to sulk..... Fair enough mate, we all see things differently. I sit in block 31 and the tackle was pretty much right in front of my view, like I say he definitely won the ball but Shaqiri was holding his ankle after it as a result of the way he went to ground. He wasn't moving freely after it and I think he should've been subbed personally. Same block mate, I just thought he his after that. So frustrating....

Shaqiri today was disappointing. He didn’t really try. He kept on drifting inside to try and impact the game but in turn it then gives us no width whatsoever!
However, in his defence he should be playing at number bastard 10. Leave Joe, who is consistently our best player and a true 100%er, in the middle. Geoff tried but he hasn’t got it to be a midfielder in the Prem. Playing him there lessened the worth of our two best players Allen and Shaq! The fact Hughes doesn’t fucking get this is exactly why he needs to be relieved of his duties.
Joe tried hard today but was played out of position at 10 even though his attitude and effort mean he will give his all.
Anyway. Hughes has to go, he has nothing more to offer. He keeps on changing formations relentlessly EVERY game so there is ZERO continuity or plan and you can taste it.
Coates has to stop dithering and go and appoint someone NOW who can use a transfer window to keep our club in the Prem. That man is Harry Redknapp. He is the only realistic manager who I feel is available right now that can offer a bump and positive.
He has to stop the fucking dithering though as one manager who would have been perfect has just taken a job at Lille and he would have worked wonders if Coates EVER appointed foreign managers!

Looked to me like he just didn’t fancy it after being clattered Sunday league style in the first five minutes. Disgraceful, pathetic and unacceptable It was a clattering but it wasn't that early in the game. Seemed to me he was given time in the second half to see how it went. It didn't and he was rightly hoiked off. I'm being charitable. It wasn't a team performance from Shaq in his second half showing.. but he did get stuck in first half without tearing up trees. Booing his substitution was daft in the context.of the game.

Seen a lot of negativity towards Shaqiri today.
He didn't run after a ball that SJW would have pounced upon. Fair enough I get that.
Saying he shouldn't play for Stoke again though.... Seriously?
We weren't saying that when he got us three points against Newcastle 2 seasons ago. He's dragged us out the of the shit more often than not.
People need to realise Shaqiri isn't the problem. The problem is Coates, Scholes, Cartwright, Hughes.
What good is booing our best player going to do?

Fucks me off to see people absolve him because Hughes has misused him. Someone like Diouf has every right to be pissed off, but he works his balls off. Shaqiri is pathetic, his attitude stinks

Hasn't done himself any favours at all today. I realise that he is pissed off but he's paid to play football matches and that sort of attitude in that sort of situation isn't going to help him get a move either.

Needs to go. And go take Hughes with him.

I don't think he is the sort of player who will relish a relegation scrap, and sadly that's the situation we find ourselves in . I wouldn't be to disappointed if we got rid of him in January providing we strengthen the midfield . We have sold all the battlers and not replaced them . We need some in this window , otherwise I think we're down I

We could get two or more players with the money we'd make off him who could.

There's more into this surely?! I'm convinced there's been a falling out along the way. You don't go from player of the season form to looking disinterest as quickly as he has out of nowhere for no reason.
The baffling substitution at Burnley might have sparked something perhaps?! Or maybe Shaqiri has got the hump about being moved out of his position to basically be replaced by Joe Allen because our midfield is a sack of shit?

Doesn't help that he literally can't do anything when he gets the ball because Crouch is on the pitch. No space to play in and no runs in behind. His form dropping has coincided perfectly with Crouch starting games.
Booing him is just thick. If he wasn't injured then I can't believe he was subbed off before Crouch.

Rightly booed at the time of him sauntering down the line and at him getting subbed. We all know what the minimum is for a Stoke player. He can fuck off if he's turning in those performances in the middle of a fight for survival.
Tried to convince myself he was playing for a free kick when he got tackled in the first half but the lazy cunt looked like he wanted off.
Its about time these players started putting their words into actions. Fuck off Shaqiri.

I hope Shaqiri puts in a transfer request. I hope we can find someone daft enough to sign him. I hope we sign two Dean Whitehead type players with the money who will put a shift in. I hope this would be enough to see us limp over the line to safety. I hope Uncle Peter will then wield the axe and deal with all those responsible for the situation. I live in hope

If he leaves we're relegated. There's literally no-one else I'd like to keep more than him. A flicker of football in a team doing a shit Pulis impression.

What is wrong with him recently? Today again he just looked like he didn't want to be on the pitch . Third game in a row he has looked disinterested . Awful attitude. May be because in those 3 games he's been playing in the position he least suits.

He's being made to pay for our shambolic midfield, in a nutshell. It's always somebody else's fault. That would be a good defence if he hadn't been our best player before we started playing Crouch and before we started using 3 defensive midfielders. He's bad with them, good without. Points to a correlation.
