But that really isn’t true is it or else we would all have managed 450 PL games and earned a small fortune! The man is a fraud, what has he ever won as a PL manager ? ninth place finish trophies are not real by the way His general record with what he’s had to deal with is good - there’s no point in trying to erase history. He is making some poor decisions right now but so are the owners and recruiters - there’s a fair bit wrong with the club and he is just an element of it. I’m not saying he has a long term future - just a future to get through to the end of the season and finish in 17th place.

Even Bowen must be having his doubts. WHam fans tried to taunt us by singing 'sacked in the morning' and we all joined in!! Much like Aston Villa game that made it clear Tone was going. And never coming back.

What a twat leaving early call him a supporter. I'm sure he said it before the 3rd but I might be mistaken. He definatly said he'd been watching him though and he was looking around at the empty seats then " he got up looking serious, and left" I thought there and then, bye Mark. He made a point of him "looking serious & leaving" , for sure He was probably wondering why he wasn't wearing any shoes.

It’s not loyalty ( I’m far more loyal to TP for what he achieved) but it is pragmatism and I just think there is even less chance of a new bloke turning this lot around than there is of Hughes and his team eventually landing on a good enough ploy to see us through to the end of the season.

20 games left. 6 v big boys (probably no points) 14 to get something. Minimum 6 wins and a few draws to stay up after today where the fk are we going to get the points from? New manager or not!

The truth is dawning on many shame it is to late the apathy is turning into reality Hughes has fcuked us just as he did at QPR.

Yeh we need a Sparky to mend the generators^
The hardest thing for me , being old and having watched Hughes since he was a young is how the hell can a man who played like he did preside over so many strikers that couldn't shoot in a wild west film with a gatling gun.
I fully expected a slightly leaky defence as we played attacking football but somehow we've ended up with strikers that make John Walters look like Ronaldo.
Just WTF Mark do you do in training. Get your boots on and show them how to kick a football.

No. - he should have some decorum and resign and retain a little dignity - but of course he'll wait for the big payout - as they do.....

He's going, Coates isn't about to let 10 years of good work to slip for the sake of relative peanuts on his part. He isn't daft, he'll get pulis back before he let's that happen and I reckon pulis would be last resort

This is a similar situation to Pulis' last season. The only difference being it's happening four months earlier. Will be interesting to see what the hierarchy do because they'd definitely wait until May if they could. In 2013 they had that luxury but their hand may be forced this time. Could be a case of how long to leave it. If nothing's inproved I reckon Hughes will be on his way in the week leading up the FA Cup game against Coventry.

It's a massive difference though in timing and the squad the next manager will inherit from Hughes, Hughes had time to work with a fairly solid hardworking and orgainised group of players, who ever takes it on has no time and a rag bag of a squad with no passion, pride or motivation to do better.

Good p.r will do it, going on about how important it is to stay in the league etc etc. We need an injection of players with balls for sure, we are like a shitter arsenal in a non contact sport. That's why I would of wanted allardyce. I was wondering today when was the last time a player was sent off for aggressive play/tackle? Pushovers we are

That's a bit premature he is old and obviously judging by his latest comments senile but he is still alive. Sandoz on radio stoke said he'd been watching Coates in the directors box, and at 2-0 was looking around at the empty seats. Said he got up 'looking serious' (whatever that means) and left When Coates has made his previous comments of support it was following away performances.i think he's seen first hand today the mood of the fans and what it means in empty seats. His little bet 365 calculator brain should be doing overtime in that sacking Hughes will cost him a couple of mill compared to bet365 languishing in the championship.the mood is toxic and unfortunately every time this teams concedes the genie will keep coming out of the box

If Hughes is still manager for next weekend, I'm going to be seriously pissed off! You can make any excuses you want, but the squad is not good enough. A right cock up IMHO!

I believe some of his recent decisions have been influenced by the crowd, including today's subs, and for that reason I'm out.
I know he defends him all the time but savage commented on whether certain players were his choices during 606 tonight.
For those reasons, im happy for him to go now. He's been weak enough to let the lunatics take over the asylum.
