Have we all gone soft? He deserves a proper Kris Commons, Steve Cotterill style reception. Snakes don't like it when we turn nasty Too many happy clapping, face painted, jester hat wearing JCL's. You forgot the ones that just can't be arsed, of which there is a growing number

Nothing but silence and contempt -our finest will however, no doubt diminish themselves in the usual low brow, knuckle dragging fashion however. A bit more knuckle dragging and a little less prawn sandwiches consumed and football may just start to regain some of its lost soul

Apart from it being pantomime season I can’t see why grown men feel the need to boo like daft fucking children. It’s embarrassing. Especially when you think how silent we are when it comes to vocal “support” of our team. Unfortunately booing referees and opposition players is all we are good for these days. It's all we've ever been good for you turd loony. I’ve seen your face on a pic on the EE board once, I don’t know how you dare

I'm really quite worried about today!
We all know that on his day he is up there with some of the best in the world. The egotistical, self worshiping, prima donna, spunk bubble, wank rag is probably going to absolutely love the abuse and vitriol he is going to receive and being centre of attention is just going to absolutely send his ego into the stratosphere from the get go. He will no doubt play a blinder and probably bag the winner in the 89th minute or something he will be that fired up. I can see it now I really can.
We will simply be playing into his hands don't you think? Surely completely ignoring him and not even acknowledging he is on the pitch will massively hurt his over inflated opinion of himself far more than stroking his ego and confirming that we are pissed off that he left at the same time. You have to get inside the head of these types of people and act accordingly by not giving them the attention they crave!
Just a thought.

We have no idea either way. He’s equally likely to throw a tantrum and get himself sent off.

Indulge me. It’s the only way I’ll learn. You have so much to teach me, master. He's the villain, he will love being the centre of attention, we will end up winding him up and he will score then stick the boot in with this celebration. Arnie won't thrive on boos, he gets frustrated too easily!!! The only attention he thrives is his own!!!

Pitty the players are so powder puff we haven't got it in us to rough him up anymore, Walters would of loved winding him up.
Today's lot will give him a hug

Just hope it doesn’t distract from the matter in hand - because frankly in our current situation Arnie and his assessment of the clubs ambition really doesn’t matter one jot.

Must admit, I'm leaning that way today.
When he's angry it gets him totally tuned into the game and he goes mano a mano with his full-back, he can be unplayable. That last 20 minutes at Upton Park, culminating in his stoppage time equaliser, he played like Ronaldo, when he felt particularly aggrieved.
Suppose there's always the danger of him getting too hyped-up and seeing red (literally) - but if he gets the Kris Commons treatment, he's liable to run riot against our piss-poor full-backs.
Moot point though, because he's going to get dogs abuse regardless.

Beyond that West Ham game, are there any other examples of this, because I’ve clearly missed them? I’ve seen him get angry and try to maim various Southampton players...

Fair point - no others are springing readily to mind! There's definitely going to be some kind of reaction though because let's face it, he's an 11-year-old in a 28-year-old's body.

Problem is he is no shrinking violet and rather than retreating into his shell and hiding away on the pitch he is going to face it head on. In fact if the abuse is severe enough I could actually see him doing a Cantona by jumping into the crowd and taking us all on!

The best thing we can do today is to treat this as an ordinary PL fixture and get behind Hughes and the team 100%.
Just ignore Arnie. He's not exactly the greatest footballer the world has ever seen, whatever he may think of himself.
Lets make the most deafening, ear splitting racket we can in support of our team and manager this afternoon.

Stick Charlie Adam on him...... What? Literally? To weigh him down you mean? Cos he wouldn't get near him if you mean to mark him. I think Diouf could do a number on him. Pacy enough to keep up with him and clumsy enough to keep catching him enough to wind him right up.

Yes it does really, it only matters in the fact he was right about our club when he said we have no ambition hence the trouble we are currently facing.... He was totally deluded in his choice of clubs to move too when he made the statement, but saying that I am more shocked that west ham are where they are now with the investment that they made to well..... Where we find ourselves with the lack of investment that we made You reap what you sow

We have no idea either way. He’s equally likely to throw a tantrum and get himself sent off. He was brilliant on his day but that day was one in ten, he has had two good games so statiscally he should be shit today. Arnie was always a sulky petulant whinging bastard when things were not going his way, if the crowd get on his back as they did Danny rose....hes fucked, he doesn't have the steel to deal with it,first whistle to the last he will shrink...if the crowd venom is directed at him of course.
