Why will people boo him ? He left because he said that the club had no ambition and now the majority on here are saying that... we have no ambition. Shouldn't they applaud him for being right in their eyes ? Personally I will boo him because he is a target and an asset to West ham and you want to make the opposition feel as uncomfortable as you can but I wont be booing him because he left us. He was a good player for us and helped us when he was here.

Neither Both are the attention seeking that he craves The response that would damage his ego more than anything would be zero response. Complete cold shoulder. but I'm not sure our lot are bright enough to carry that one through tbh I think you are right mate

The simple facts are:
1 Hughes signed him for just £2million, 2 Numerous so-called experts scoffed that we'd signed a bad apple, who'd make Balotelli look like an choirboy. 3 Yet instead he knuckled down, was as good as gold, and transformed himself into our most saleable asset. 4 And left for £20 million; our all-time record transfer fee received in 154 years.
Oh, and Fact 5... Ignoring all of this, fans will still boo Arnie, and Hughes as well!

Have we all gone soft?
He deserves a proper Kris Commons, Steve Cotterill style reception.
Snakes don't like it when we turn nasty

Nothing but silence and contempt -our finest will however, no doubt diminish themselves in the usual low brow, knuckle dragging fashion however. Ludicrous. Knuckle dragging? So, you're calling the majority of football fans in the world knuckle draggers? Embarrassing. Get off your sodding pedestal.

Hence, the feeling he went for the money and not for ambition.

We should give Arnie both barrels straight from the start of the game.
Continue until West Ham take the lead then switch to giving Hughes both barrels so hopefully even Coates gets the message.
I've got a bad feeling about today - if it's as bad as I think it's going to be then hopefully we can make the best of it by finally forcing Coates hand to get rid of the manager.
I'm going 1-3 to West Ham.

Apart from it being pantomime season I can’t see why grown men feel the need to boo like daft fucking children. It’s embarrassing. Especially when you think how silent we are when it comes to vocal “support” of our team. Unfortunately booing referees and opposition players is all we are good for these days.

Indulge me. It’s the only way I’ll learn. You have so much to teach me, master. He's the villain, he will love being the centre of attention, we will end up winding him up and he will score then stick the boot in with this celebration. You’ve still not said what this hypothesis is based on. When has that actually happened relating to him? There’s as much chance he’ll do a Kris Commons and not be able to handle it? Southampton’s players wound him up enough to get him sent off in the first half twice.

Arnie does not have the capacity to deal with abuse from all the fans, he also loses his temper easily. He is reckless. Booing him is the way to go, in the hope it will distract him and he reacts

This was a naked cash grab at the first time of asking after we’d helped him resurrect his career. Ambition had fuck all to do with it. It was an excuse.

He needs a Cotterill type reception today and I’m hoping it gets our players going also because for me this game is massive and could set the tone for the rest of the season.

Good player for us generally, had a great 2nd last season, then became a snake.
I suggest we greet him with utter silence and just laugh at everything he tries. He is very prone to frustration.
