I call bullshit. Anybody who thinks they're in the know on here is just playing the guessing game.
Oh... we lost. I guess it means that Hughes is going to be sacked or he resigned.
He will be gone before Saturday, I'm ITK, you can trust me (Not really).

Tell me again why he wasn't sacked on Saturday. Every day wasted with Hughes is a day wasted for our new manager to assess the squad before the transfer window. Because the chairman is a ditherer who's hoping against hope things fall into place. We were saying this in June, mate.

Sign your name below if you would resign and miss out on a seven figure goodbye pay check.
The decision rests with the board and CEO, I don't think this is a time to leave it up to the employee.

You're the one with the agenda Benji in any case, Hughes was the reason we lost tonight not Scholes, let's get that straight.

Speaking to my contacts right now....... Do you use the daily disposables? Some of those multi-focal lenses you get nowadays are amazing. Not sure if I've ever spoken to mine, mind. Other than to say "get in you b@stard thing!"....

There is nothing to stop Hughes asking his agent to begin severance discussions. I still believe it is their responsibility. There's no honour in quitting after the loyalty that has been shown on both sides. PC talks to him every week at least he just needs to decide, I'm sure that he's edging his bets knowing him of old. I'm sure they're lining up someone longer term. Nobody benefits from a short term appointment. Whoever it is might need to engineer a promotion.

Perry Groves has just called Hughes a smart arsed manager, and bemoaned our lack of pace. Hard to argue with him, really.

On the twelfth day of Christmas Mark Hughes gave to me:
12 million Saido 11 confused starters 10 number 10’s 9 cup knockouts 8 different formations 7 wins in 27 6 Pieters crosses 5 missed subs 4 goals against 3 at the back 2 long years And an apathy for Stoke City!

He should have been sacked in May. This is the problem. We were awful all of last season but got away with it thanks to the whole bottom half being shitter than usual and the fact that our wins were well spaced out which stopped us ever getting sucked too close to the bottom three.
May 2017 was the same situation as May 2013 when we sacked Pulis. A manager who had gone stale and run out of ideas and the fans had generally lost faith with (as evidenced by the pitiful attendance at the lap of 'honour' last season). We didn't make that obvious decision and it's looking like we're now going to have to make it at a far riskier time in mid season with a much smaller pool of managers to choose from. This was predictable so some of the blame lies at Coates's door if we do go down.

Spinks is being a ‘sensationalist’ and taking the piss with that twitter headline. Nowhere does Hughes say he’s ‘delighted’
I want Hughes out but in fairness to him, he’s backing his players who did ‘give it a go’ for him tonight

The depressing thing is I just know he's going to be in charge for the West Ham game. He's deflated all enthusiasm I have for Stoke and for football in general.

Perhaps he was but for me he's not worth the loan fee. If he was any good he would be in Chelsea's team. Christiansen has leap frogged him from nowhere. I can see why people like him though - wholehearted, athletic.
