"There's been an undercurrent since I've been here," Hughes said of the flak aimed in his direction. "On the day I was appointed there was a car outside the stadium with 'Hughes out' written on it - that was before I even got here! Desperate, the mans desperate and should fuck off know he has become deluded. This is only gonna get worse if he stays he comes across as broken. Maybe so, but true. What kind of motivation is it to arrive at your new job and be greeted by “supporters” calling for your head?

Regardless of who the fuck they are, why were they let off the train while other paying customers were kept on like prisoners what a fucking joke! Never heard anything so fucking hideous! HUGHES OUT! Because of the order people were let off the train? This is getting ridiculous! Just now we will have someone complaining that he is using up oxygen that they could have used ... Hughes out. Unbelievable.

Yeah I posted it earlier and thought he was either taking the piss out of us fans or he's fully lost his head, probably both in all honesty. The bloke should be thankful he's still in a job not taking pot shots at the fans.

The van man clown has given Hughes a hard done to get out of, 'they never really wanted me', when in fact the fans have been incredibly patient and afforded him every bit of credit his first his first three years warranted.

What kind of motivation is it to arrive at your new job and be greeted by “supporters” calling for your head? Depends on Hughes mindset. He used the van man to say I will show you lot what I can do and I think he did but for whatever reason that determination to stick two fingers up to the doubters has now changed direction and yes its sad that he thinks he wasn't welcome from the offset when after the last season of Pulis Ball most supporters soon warmed to his style of play. For once Ive agreed with Alster where Hughes has lost that belief in the tactics and style of play he used over those three seasons.

Quite a few were a bit unsure at first with good reason, he even said himself he needed to redeem himself after QPR and he looked to be doing just that, how many "mark Hughes barmy army!" have there been since?
The fans have been fully behind him, he should be thanking his lucky stars that more media attention hasn't been brought to how shit our form has been if anything, he's had more than enough time to turn things around now
That comment reeks of a man getting excuses in before the axe comes down, there's no way he's oblivious to what fans grievances are is there? He says it's good to see outside of the bubble sometimes at what the fans think but there's no way before the train abuse he was thinking we've been doing well? He can't be that thick skinned can he?

I notice the BBC national news is running with Stoke City 'train station-gate' today, a part of me quite likes it, it's been a while since we have been in the national psyche. I don't advocate it as I suspect, as is often the case with these impromptu demonstrations, some plonkers, fuelled with a days ale, take it way too far. Also the scattergun approach doesn't differentiate between the good, the bad and the ugly. Everyone and anyone gets the wanker sign, so to speak. But at least it shows someone connected to this football club cares and the BBC running it keeps it in Peter Coates' eyeline.

Not sure that one can say “ the fans were incredibly patient” during the first 3 years. Is enjoying great ( by Stoke standards) success something we have to patiently endure? The last 2 years is when we should/could have been “incredibly patient” and I personally think we were not. As for this growing group of people calling for Coates’ head,........... oh, be “INCREDIBLY” careful what you wish for!
