I'm game.
1. Win today and win well 2. Go on a run 3. Ease the pressure 4. Play people in correct positions 5. Finish 10th-15th 6. Regroup/sort the mess out

We need to get healthy and develop a real second squad full of capable fit players via the Jan window and next summer, not Ireland, Afellay and pub man Adam especially, if we can be top 10.

Nope.
One game against an utterly wank side who should be getting pasted doesn’t make up for the nigh on two years worth of utter abject shit.
This should be a farewell game, cheers for everything Mark but you unravelled that long ago, goodbye.

Having expectations like that will always leave you disappointed. Let's just get a win and move on from there.

I know it's a much used phrase, but a win today really is just papering over the rather huge cracks in our club.
Win, lose, or draw today Hughes still needs to go !

The ship has sailed long ago for me OS, the transfer policy, the disorganisation on the pitch, the football, the cliched press conferences, the refusal to admit we’ve been abject for a worrying length of time, these aren’t the signs of a man that has a long and sustainable future within Stoke City FC. He needed to go at the start of the season, and he’d have left with my good wishes, because I haven’t forgotten some of the wonderful football we played under him to begin with, now it’s got to the stage where I can’t wait for him to fuck off, and he’ll do so with me chanting behind him and throwing the wanker sign, rather than getting a thankful handshake and a good luck for the future had he gone in the Summer.

We all know that even if we lose 5-2 from here, it is unfortunately extremely unlikely that Coates will sack Hughes let alone we go on to win or draw

With the modern-day supporter fickleness and unforgiving short-termism, I cannot see any manager having a 'long and sustainable future' at ANY club - the natural ups and downs of football life are not taken into account by fans. Being allowed a 'Sir Alex' start where a few seasons are granted have long since gone.

Being allowed a 'Sir Alex' start where a few seasons are granted have long since gone. Very true, however the foundation he built when Bojan was on fire it truly looked like he’d got everything sorted and we were in safe hands, and I accepted what I at first thought was a blip, but it’s become plainly obvious that this hasn’t been a one off, it’s completely fallen apart. For a period it did look like he’d earned that “Fergie time”, but this isn’t bad luck, it’s damn near dereliction of duty.

Vital win, but that was utter shite. He can’t survive if this carries on surely? I want him gone, long gone. Have since March. But there's just nopoint now. I only hope Coates is taking stock and sharpens the axe from now til May. So many similarities to Pulis last season.
