4-4- fucking two. Well done Sparky! Would have preferred it with Saido. I think against a weak side like Swans it would have been a good opportunity to get him going. I love MBD's effort, and i know he scored one today, but he's a terrible finisher overall.

I’ll take an ugly win against a pretty draw or loss any time. But I am not ready to say he’s turned a corner.

Whilst it pains me to say it, he still needs to go.
However, I don't think that goes far enough. I wonder how much of the current mess can be directly attributed to Hughes, and how much of it is other non-playing staff at the club. I wonder if a clearout is needed and a completely fresh team and fresh approach brought. I fear that a change of manager and nothing else will just bring more of the same.

The best I am hoping for is that we manage to just about stay up (I'm 50/50 on that at the moment) and he goes at the end of the season.
That should have happened at the end of last season though.

-Four wins all season, all by the margin of a single goal. -Two clean sheets in fifteen games -Lost to Place and Bournemouth while they were in the bottom three -Conceded more goals than any other side in the division -Play terrible negative football, especially on the rare occasions when we're in the lead. -Being absolutely carried by Xherdan Shaqiri -Manager doesn't seem to know his best formation
Relieved to have picked up three points today, they were incredibly important. We're not out of the woods by any means, and it would be dangerous to think so, but I doubt we'll go down.
But I still wouldn't shed a tear if Hughes left, I'd be actively disappointed if he didn't leave at the end of the season.

I am sure it’s a combination of the manager and his back room staff, which I presume he hand picked. Certainly Mark Bowen is Hughes’s right hand man, that runs the training sessions, while Hughes fiddles about looking bored.

Not really, it didn't work, he had to change it up again. You mean, tactical genius? We were really lucky after he brought on Affelay Ramadan, because it was a complete shambles. I had no idea what formation we were playing, and it was clear the players didn’t either.

Nope. One game against an utterly wank side who should be getting pasted doesn’t make up for the nigh on two years worth of utter abject shit. This should be a farewell game, cheers for everything Mark but you unravelled that long ago, goodbye. I'm a more forgiving man but I understand your frustrations. I like MH despite this clustershambles, and sending him on his way would be pretty disappointing. If we can turn this around we should keep our powder dry. To be fair mate you seem to change your opinion each week depending on what the latest result has been ... that (with respect) is hardly keeping your powder dry.

A win is a win but what a dire performance yet again. Slow, sideways and plenty of lump it up to the big man.
All he needs do next week in run out in a tracksuit and cap and we will have gone back in time.

Important win but we made predictably hard work of the disposal of a very ordinary Swansea team. We need to start looking convincing.......even if only occasionally. As things stand its still 'out' from where I sit.

I said before this game, if we lost he could go. I've said before that I'm apathetic - if a suitable replacement can be found then swing the axe. But none has been found. Meanwhile we see what gives over the next few weeks. Hardly "changing my opinion", is it? I'm just not keen on throwing him out the door with no replacement.

Important win.
Not great quality yet but plenty of determination and players still playing for him, great to win it from 1 nil down
Good for the confidence let's hope we don't get dicked at Spurs and undo it.
Still think he can turn it around
Brighton lost 5-1 at home to Liverpool, just saying...

We will lose the next two games and it’s back to a six pointer against West Ham,he needs to go at the end of the season.Theres a vile atmosphere in the stadium where supporters are looking for reasons to jump on players backs and that’s because of the turgid shite we have seen for 18 months.

We need to get healthy and develop a real second squad full of capable fit players via the Jan window and next summer, not Ireland, Afellay and pub man Adam especially, if we can be top 10. What’s the rush to get rid of Afellay the guy is one of the classiest and most talented players we’ve got if he can stay fit and find any sort of form.

Not judging you like, just somet that I've noticed.

Horrible game of fear and such, was hoping we'd score another before half time so we could have had the luxury to come out and express ourselves second hafe. Shocking, shapeless dithering bunch interspersed by some beautiful interplay.
Shaq a double edged sword, creative wanderings one minute, leaving us awfully exposed th'next.
I'm still a Lezzer though, can see he's got winning games by football in his yed. Intention vs execution.
Players coming up short so far.
Keeping the faith for the bigger vision and the greater good.
No change imminent so perpetual moaning is impotent imo.
A little bit of crowing may be in order tonight though.

It was a very important win but good god it was poor.I’ve never seen Hughes so animated on the touchline so early on,he knew his time was up if we’d have been beaten. There was a point in the 1st half when Mawson was down play acting that Shaqiri came over to the bench and was telling Hughes something about the shape by the way he was gesturing towards him.Players were all over the place and I’m convinced some of them hadn’t got a clue what was going on. All I can say is thank fuck for Shaqiri and Allen because they provide the only quality is the team at the minute.
