I feel like the board are just going to get someone like Steve McClaren in because they've lost patience. Can't see them going abroad again

Send the whole of the board to anywhere on the planet, but make sure it’s on flight MH370.

Thomas Tuchel would be my first choice. Doubt Enrique would even consider us. Bosz and Blanc are alternatives I guess but unlikely. We’ve just been turned down by Martin O’Neill, get in the real world. Maybe it's time to go for Potter then? Though, O'Neill's decision might have been because we only wanted him due to Flores rejecting him or he just wanted to stay as Ireland manager.

Just commented on this on the main thread. The board need to suck it up and start talking to European managers with top flight experience. Prem or not. They need to admit their wrong to be so narrow minded and change course. Or we're down. It's so fucking frustrating! How do you get a message like they across to the board? Do they HONESTLY believe that Lambert / McLaren will move us forward as a club??

Whoever comes in now has to be a top name. The only way we're staying up is bringing good players in. The manager has to have good contacts and be able to do it quick.

If anything Hughes should have gone much, much earlier.

If anything Hughes should have gone much, much earlier. And the club should've had an agreement in place with his replacement prior to sacking Hughes.

Do they HONESTLY believe that Lambert / McLaren will move us forward as a club?? I know mate. I just can't see the logic in offering a big deal to someone like Flores but not even considering any successful European managers just because they haven't managed in the Prem. It's nonsensical in my view. I've been a big supporter of the Coates family and always just assumed a manager with Prem experience was the "preferred" choice rather than a prerequisite. Changes must be made at the Board level to remove this attitude, it's a disgrace.

The problem now is that getting someone decent in will take time which we don’t have the time for if we want to get players in so we’re stuffed. I’m sorry but this mess is down to the board.

The whole club is a mess from top to bottom. God knows how Bet 365 have become so huge & profitable with the coates family in charge. How the two business interests can be so far apart in the way they are run beats me. Where we go from here god only knows. Maybe pull a name out of a hat & hope they accept the job. Sorry Peter Coates you have ruined all your good work & destroyed your legacy time to stand down.

Have to look abroad. Given the kitty available we should beable to attract half decent manager who would love to manage in the PREM (even if for only four months!)
Lambert and Megson will sign championship players and we'll finish rock bottom
That Liverpool 6-1 seems decades ago

Michael Laudrup Once the bright new thing currently in Quatar on a 2 year contract. Surely a better option than some of the names being mentioned.

This lad should be in a mental asylum. Cracking coach. Very demanding. Favours 3 at the back systems. Managed Lazio for approximately 3 days. Lille was a bit of a disaster. Would surely be an exciting end of the season!!

Jokanovic, Fonseca, or Koeman please. (All varying degrees of likelihood, I appreciate). The 3 under consideration are more likely to be McClaren, Megson and Lambert though. Can't believe people are suggesting Harry Redknapp. Blimey! Right now Harry Potter is a viable option Right now Hairy Potter is a viable option! 😂
