Another FIFA/Championship Manager team. Darren Fletcher isn't going to be dropped and rightly so. Rightly so! He's been poor, and at fault for their second, amongst others, it was simple he was next to bloke and just stopped.

It'll be the same team, they got a point, he's happy with a point, he'll be thinking why change it. Hughes doesn’t have the imagination to change the line-up and too stubborn to abandon this three at the back stuff.

I've come to the conclusion that it doesn't matter what system we use we have too many glaring issues within the squad. Pace, Tackling, Movement, Passing and general Ball control is almost non existent and these are core to basic football.
We have a very good back 3 (on paper) yet we ship shed loads which I can only put down to our 2 wing backs Diouf (out of position) Eric (just crap) and our Midfield duo of Allan and Fletcher which is just not working ( too similar IMHO) and sadly we don't have the personnel to shake things up
It's amazing we are not in the bottom 3

You can line up a whole host of players who were at fault for the first goal. Are we going to drop them all? With the current lack of midfield numbers calls for Fletcher to be dropped are pointless. It's not going to happen.

As has been said many times on here, we cannot defend against pacy players. I think we will get well and truly stuffed.

That's the closest I can come up with that ditches the back three, tries to make us more solid at the back, gives us some creativity in attacking midfield and an actual striker with a bit of pace and strength up front.

I fear for our right hand side against Zaha, and also our midfield against Loftus-Cheek, who I really rate. Thought he was excellent for England recently.
I'd be tempted to chuck Adam into a 3 man midfield and keep him on as long as he could last, just to add a bit of something extra in there. However, i'd have no clue on who would play right back, since we have nobody decent and/or fit. How on earth that situation has developed is beyond me.
Our lack of depth in midfield and a chronic lack of a first team option at right back and/or right and left wing back is nothing short of a disgrace for a supposed top level football club, for which the owners and transfer team must carry the can.

Grant Zouma Shawcross Wimmer(or Bruno) Edwards (Diouf) Allen Fletcher (Cameron) Ramadan (or Eric) Shaqiri Diouf (or Saido) Chopper (or Jese or N'Goy)
Or/and a combination of that. Switching it about at the end if necessary. Ktf.

I really think we could struggle if we play the same side v Palace. They have a lot of pace but look very open at the back. I'd love us to go back to 4231 and stick Mame up front and put Zouma in CM with Allen. Grant Edwards Ryan Wimmer Eric Zouma Allen Choupa Shaq Ramadan Diouf I like that team. 👍

Knowing Hughes he will bring Edwards in to face a rejuvenated Zaha just as he did when we played Man City & Sane

Playing 3 at the back with the possibility of Zaha getting at least 15 yards of space in behind puts the shitters in me. Best going with a 442 and going for it, we have a shocking record there but we need to win these games.

People have been writing in every day complaining that Hughes was changing every game and that he didn't know his strongest team. Now that we're in the middle of a 3-match unbeaten run, people want him to start unsettling that balance again.
I don't necesarily disagree that we should play someone like Edwards. Nor does Hughes, who has selected him, but the player has been injured a lot, which happens with young players coming into mature football. He will be picked again, Diouf will be returned to the fron where he belongs, and Crouch will get a start. Just not now.

Grant Edwards Ryan Wimmer Eric Zouma Allen Choupa Shaq Ramadan Diouf Zouma in a midfield two is a disaster waiting to happen. He hasn't got the composure or skillset to do the job. He's not mobile enough either. I'd put Cameron in there but would prefer a midfield three anyway.

It'll be the same team, they got a point, he's happy with a point, he'll be thinking why change it. Err, a win lose or draw does not mean the next game you get the same result, We could have easily won or lost the BHA game. Does not mean we get the same result next time. FM really has a lot to answer for!
