You mean Potter who's in the next round of the Europa League after spending the last 4 years building to the biggest point in there history ??
Not a chance. Maybe if it were the end of the season and he thinks he had achieved everything he could there, but he won't leave them in the shit at this point.

Offer him whatever Hughes is on, take the hit on relegation and let a young forward looking coach rebuild us. The alternatives to Hughes mentioned on here like MON, McLaren, Pearson, Giggs and Neville are too awful to consider. Bring in a young progressive coach who has served an apprenticeship abroad with staggering success but has knowledge of the English game. He's a gamble but one worth taking when you look at the shit were in at the moment. Why the fuck would we take a hit on relegation when we’re a win or two away from the top half of the table? Unbelievable..... The squad we have is unbalanced, unfit and sadly pretty wank. I'd love a "a win or two" but we're a long way from that scenario.

Realistically though, Coatesy's going to go for a stodgy, experienced, been-there-and-done-it 50+-year-old, isn't he? We can debate the rights and wrongs - but that's what he'll do. It'll definitely be a O'Neill, Bruce, Pearson type. In fact, it's hard to see beyond those 3 Stodgy how dare you , you fatist you 😂

Would probably do a better job than Hughes. Jesus said unto Peter Coates, But whom say ye that I am duck? And Peter answered and said, Thou art our next manager. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Sir Peter: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but the Oatcake message board John 16:17-18.

Maybe because we would increase his current package by about 200/300/400% or more He's spent four / five ears building his current club and the Europa League tie will be the crowning moment. Why jump ship now when he will have plenty of offers in the summer? He will be in no rush!

His team are unlikely to progress in the Europa and the chance to manage/coach in the premier league is a massive opportunity for him. If he does beat Arse in the Europa then we have absolutely zero chance of attracting him!!

Potter is clearly the best of those available and who would come. People are deluded if they think Mancini or even Rodgers would come, and people who think a O’Neil, Keane or even Giggs would be better belong in the same home as Coates.
Potter has got experience of building a team, he plays good football and would take us in the direction we want to go. We have easily got the players to stay up we just need some one to harness that. Potter has proved he can get a poor squad playing good football and winning, with our current players he would keep us up and with investment he’s exactly the kind of person all our fans want to see, ambitious, plays good football and fresh ideas. It’s a no brainier to me.

I think we need to go for Gary Rowett out of the choice out there. I wouldn't think for one moment that Gary Rowett would come to Stoke. He is currently at an arguably bigger club with a bigger fan base who are likely to change places with us next season. We need to look beyond the obvious but unattainable and the obvious but fucking awful.

I don't think he's got even a 1% chance though TBH.
