If they were still playing now they still wouldn't have scored.

If they can keep their heads above water until the January window they'll be fine, but honestly they look an absolute shower of shit at the moment. Three of the back four have a combined age of over 100, they have zero pace in the team and completely lack creativity.
Rooney is trying his bollocks off but is absolutely part of the problem, I think they're in the shit to be fair...

If they started every game with the team they had out today, then yes.

What happened? Don’t remember this little gem. They were two down to Wimbledon last game of season, had to win to stay up. Hans Segers then let some very soft goals in. One of the shots was so bad the crowd groaned only for Segers to 'somehow' let it in. When the Grobballar scandal broke Segers name came up. Had to look this up to remember. The winner was shocking goalkeeping - he half-heartedly dived and didn't stretch out his arms. 11:15 mins in

Of course they can but I doubt it and wouldn't you all prefer three southern clubs?

Not when Allardyce takes over there Allardyce has turned down Leicester and Crystal Palace already this season, but I think Everton are big enough that he would unretire for them. I'm sure the Everton owners think they're too big for Allardyce though. I don't know what's happened to them to suddenly become so shit. It can't all be down to losing Lukaku.

Frigging hell they are only 3 points or 1 win behind us! It's way too soon for any obituaries.

They'll end up top 10. Im sure they'll buy themselves out of trouble in Jan. Plus haven't they had the most difficult run of fixtures to start the season. I'd be more worried if I was a West Ham fan as they've had a far easier start.

They went down on my FIFA season, they’re in danger of the virtual world becoming reality if they don’t make the right appointment. it always sold lukaku and ended up playing shite youth players up front though... oh shit

I very much doubt they’ll go down either. Koeman was an unmitigated disaster for them. Everton are always better when playing under a manager with a love for the club and as importantly an affinity with the fans. Unsworth definitely isn’t the answer though and neither is bringing back Moyes. With a fit Barclay (Yes I rate him) and a manager who fits 11 different round pegs in 11 round holes they should be fine. The goalkeeper is not ‘shite’ as someone previously said on here and neither is Rooney who’s been their best player so far this season. They have some very good, if ageing players but for this season at least play them in their best positions and crucially in January, buy a proven goal scorer. If they do these things, as I said they won’t go down.

They are no better than Newcastle that went down twice, or so far the appalling Villa from 2 seasons ago, so yes, history tells us they most certainly can. They still have European games to play, though I rather think they will field the reserves, as they are seemingly out already.

At 2-0 down it was all done and dusted then there were the strange goals and dodgy keeping, and they somehow survived. Struggling to remember who went down instead of them, was it Bolton ?

They will put it right in January with a credible stiker and probably some wide players.
They have too many number 10s which is making them very unbalanced at the moment.

Or will everyone turn a blind eye to goalkeepers being bought off like last time they were in trouble? You can have 25/1 right now if you fancy it. Stoke at 15/2.

Anything is possible in football but if their new manager (whoever he is) can instill some confidence and organisation into what is, basically, a good looking squad of players they will be O.K.
