Rafa. Because he looks at a player like Joselu and thinks he can get more out of him than Hughes. Imagine what he could do with the whole squad. Fact is, Arnie and Joselu are now both looking down the table at us. You didn't see Arnie last night or subsequent bashing by the pundits and Joselu is setting the world on fire isn't he ? Joselu is twice the player Berahinogoals is, arnie is five times better than Berahinogoals shocking signing again.

Terrible first half much better second half after the team talk and changes. Always thought Ryan would make a good number 10. Not arsed about seeing Diouf as striker again, far better with more involvement running up and down on the flank. What's happened to Fletch? Heard Hughes has been bollocking them up hill, down dale everyday in training since the man city debacle, we did look shellshocked and shagged by the end of the 45. Overdone the 'I expect a reaction' perhaps. There are answers to some of that shite, sacking the manager at this stage isn't part of it. (Imo). Bournemouth are a despicable bunch.. a loss to them hurts extra. Ktf. And drink through it. Yeah, fuck having a bloke who scores goals up front. 😂😂 ??

Yeah, fuck having a bloke who scores goals up front. 😂😂 ?? I think he's referring to our lack of strikers and playing the only guy who is currently scoring, predominantly as a reluctant defender CF. I'm afraid I had a brief hiatus in my belief that Hughes needs replacing but unfortunately it has returned unabated

All week we have been hearing from Hughes about a reaction [another one] after the humiliation last week. Well, if that is Hughes' idea of a reaction, then I want a reaction from the chairman.

He simply has to go - we clearly aren’t going to improve! We may get a few scrappy wins and survive but that is not good enough! People who say well who do we get in annoy me as that is Mr Coates’ job but I’d take anyone at the moment because it can’t get any worse

Cheeers. Hughes Out. How's that? Not out! Sorry I meant definitely out.....umpires decision stands old chap Yes indeeed. Saint Peter with jumpers around his showders, showing the bent knee one fingered wavy line. Extra etc. Took me a while to warm to Hughes, frustrating from the off, thought with a few more nuts and bolts {set pieces/dead ball} we could have done even better in the first three seasons with easy tweaks. Shocking today, but the home leg League Cup vs Liverpool was the most shockingest two halves I've seen for yonks. Could have stepped aside then for me. But bought in Imbula and a few results. Last season was uglier, but imo for the right reasons and believed we'd emerge from it {and no Euro summer distraction etc} stronger/better. With the chance of Shaq and Jack at the very least stepping up, that and a better cutting edge and an infusion of the youth, I thought we couldn't ask for more. Thought that was vindicated with the Arsenal and Man U shifts, but tonight Matthew I'm not sure I know anymore. I went away to Everton and been the homers so far, but there's a pub clampdown on seeing the aways, so I've listened on the radio, rather than putting effort in to go and watch... I'm not really feeling the pain of Newcastle and Man City in the way I would have if i'd gone/seen it. I may be part of the problem, must try harder. But I'm still in mate.

De Silva or Wagna were definitely worth a chance last season. Obviously out of reach though now
Slaviša Jokanović is worth a chance for me now. Very passionate and a bit of a head case. Just what this club needs right now, someone with spirit and fight.

What is obvious and scary is, I haven't seen one name mentioned yet that is worth considering Is Hughes the best there is? That's very concerning if so. If we're not in the market for medium level, premier league management, then why not Graham Potter? After all he's British isn't he Mr Coates?

He won't be sacked because PC is a conservative at heart. But he should be sacked, in fact I'd have sacked him at half time, for picking Glen Johnson.

My worry is that every season we have been able to say there are 3 teams worse than us, from the showings early on Huddersfield, Brighton, Newcastle are stronger and have more motivation than us. West ham will rejuvenate when they get a change in management as will Leicester. We are really struggling and some sectors keep saying it is unthinkable to replace Hughes. We had to win today as I don't think we will win next week. The games we need to win I can't see us winning as we stand at the moment in the mental status we are in. We need motivation of a new manager who will out players such as pieters on their toes and pick a team that can play a formation. We look clueless and when I see most other teams they want it. I look at West ham and how many times media mention his job security. Are we going to be victims of stable ownership in that they will stick by Hughes in thick or thin.

Let the club make their decision, you can either agree or disagree its your choice. If it bothers you so much, then don't watch them. Everybody thinks they have the answers but not everybody thinks the same, so who is right?

Is Chris Coleman worth a punt...Or have we had our fill of Welsh managers... I'm through with all things Welsh right now. I don't want to taste laverbread, listen to Stereophonics or watch an Anthony Hopkins film for at least a couple of years. And any daffodils I spot are getting plucked.

I agree.....Hughes needs to go. Tony never put Stoke into the top 10 and Hughes did. And he did so for 3 years in a row. And then there was the season where Leicester City won the League and if they could do it why couldn't Stoke have climbed the table a bit with the big boys all falling short. Around that time I heard Hughes point to Stoke's success with finishing 9th for those 3 seasons. He was pointing to his ability to lead the team into mediocrity......last season and this season, he can't even bring that off. Needs to go.

I fear it would be Pardew - he is touting himself around on Sky like crazy and wants back in. We’d get the usual bizarre runs of greatness and then utter rubbish just like when he was at Newcastle and Palace - streakiest manager going. Not for me but would be a Coates choice.
Or Coleman - who really doesn’t have the record in club football to justify the attention. You could argue he should achieve what he did with Wales given he had Bale, Ramsey and Allen.
Coates is a huge admirer of Moyes - always expressed it when we were first promoted. Surely he is finished at top level in the UK for now.
Rodgers wouldn’t leave Celtic for us - he thinks (wrongly) he’s top 6 material.
Allardyce has said he is enjoying his break so I think he’s out.
Dyche might be gettable but may want his next move to be higher than us and not sure how Shaqiri and Jesé would react to his style. Whoever it is has got to get a tune out of our better players if we are to survive.
Michael O’Neill - can certainly motivate but a huge gamble with little club success on his CV.
Rafa won’t leave Newcastle with new investment on the way there.
Graham Potter is intriguing but again a huge jump to go to the Premier League from where he is. He’d be a figure of fun for some here based on them thinking he was unknown as a manager and given his sketchy club career for us - would start on the back foot.
Can’t see Gary Neville jumping in - still too soon after Valencia and not sure he really wants to be a manager at all.
Anyone mentioning Tuchel or Ancelotti is dreaming - would never be seen at Stoke.
Of course, if John has more sway and invites Cartwright to dust off Football Manager for a replacement then all bets are off, but not sure Peter would countenance that. If we did, someone like Lucien Favre? Could we tempt him?
It’s a really poor list.
