What happened to the early promise? Has Hughes ruined him or is there a deeper problem?
I honestly thought we had a genuine star in our midst. Was I wrong?

Marriage and national celebrity status. Yeah nothing to do with the fact he's played 5 games.

He was 50% skills + 50% fighter, Now he is 25% skills + 0% fighter. Whatever the cause is, he is not Ramadan of the last 2 seasons. Even in the national team, he was the best player for us, now Trezeguet "our 2nd left winger" is better than him. About causes, for me I see Hughes number 1 "he dropped him when we was the best player in the team, the only fighter in the team", marriage number 2 "looks like he becomes lazy with less ambition", Ramadan himself number 3

Very poor decision making with when to pass for me and I think this is what puts him backwards from a selection perspective......players don't know which run to make as he just doesn't release the simple ball and then runs into a blind alley. It should come with experience but he has to work at it.

He was pathetic today. On the 5th and 6th goals he just gave the ball away then stood there.
He got pelters from his teammates yet simply shrugged his shoulders.
It would be a long time before he was involved again if I was manager.

I keep seeing the word in lots of threads - what on earth are "pelters" and where does the word come from ? Never heard it before anywhere

Not as good as he thinks he is and has an attitude problem.
The manager has said as much earlier in the season. It's not rocket science.

"Attitude", "work rate"', "not as good as he thinks he"" and "Hughes signings" seem to be connected far too often for my liking. Imbula, Wollscheid, Berahino, Ramadan, Bony, Ireland. They often have form for questionable attitudes before they rock up at Stoke but that never ends seems to worry us until it's too late.

What happened is some of us saw through the cheap Redmond option from day 1 and he was never equipped for the premier league , but because he was cheap and martin Jol convinced the buffons in Our transfer team he was the Egyptian messi we thought we'd try beating the market .

He's still very young and not played a huge amount of games. If we weren't so threadbare I'd say there's a case for loaning him out to a Championship club to get a run of games under his belt.
I think dropping him when he was playing really well didn't help.
