Ah the same diouf that he bought as a Striker and now has ended up at right back and for large periods of his Stoke career has been out of the side The same Shaqiri who has missed half of his Stoke career though injuries and failed to live up to the hype. Playing better this season but how can you say he's improved his career ? Butland isn't coached by Hughes The position that Diuof plays is irrelevant he has improved. I dont think Hughes actually coaches any of the players do you? Surely the individual coaching is down to the coaching staff. Hughes will provide the tactics. Sometime soon, very soon, would be good.

It's Hughes Name me one player who has improve as a player for Stoke City under Hughes reign. The only one I can think of is Arnie, you can't really say butland as he's a goalie Whelan, N'Zonzi, Cameron, Grant, all better than with previous manager or club. Shaq is better so far this season. Diouf has improved. Unfair to expect old players to improve. Please explain to me how Diouf has improved? If as a striker who had never played right wing back before, then yes, he's gone from having no experience in this position to having some and not making an absolute mess of it. But...he's a bloody striker. Would any club buy him as a right wing back? No, why would they? Has he improved as a striker since his first season with us? Not really, but how many games has he started up front as opposed to out wide or as wing back?

Struggled a bit this season, needs to improve his final decision making same as last year. Probably hits him a bit that even if he plays well he still isn't better than the starting XI unless there's an injury. He's still only very young though, no point giving up on him. The trouble is, there was a time last season when Arni was out of form and Ramadan could have been given a go. Even then, he wasn't. He was left out when playing well, and that can leave someone disgruntled. Maybe his confidence is shot?

Even an out of form Arnie was our best chance at winning games last season. For me he was the sort of player who was genuinely undroppable.

As a young player at Al Ahly he nearly caused a riot (twice) by standing on the ball to humiliate the opposition. His own team mates were exasperated with him. He had so much promise - and attitude unfortunately.I think this is correct - if not I apologise. Maybe Doc Hesham can confirm.

www.kingfut.com/2017/10/18/agent-stoke-want-ramadan-sobhi/amp/Agent of Ramadan Sobhi shut down transfer rumors linking the Egypt international with a move away from Stoke City, insisting that the Potters are keen on keeping him within their squad. Sobhi’s few appearances with his club and the disappointing performances with the national team put him under criticism, but Shawky responded saying that Sobhi’s “mentality has changed.” “Ramadan has become more of a technical player, this is the issue that we are trying to work on now. He keeps hearing that he has to run all the 90 minutes and that he needs to defend,” Shawky said in a radio interview. “He still needs to find the right balance.” When asked if the 20-year-old winger will be leaving the club, even if on loan, his agent insisted that Stoke are keen on keeping him within their ranks, which is why they’ve renewed his contract. “Stoke paid their final installment, but Al Ahly haven’t received it yet because they have some legal issues,” said Shawky. Sobhi played 17 matches with the Potters last season and was promised that he will play more this season, which according to his agent has been happening. He played seven games so far for the club this season, and came on in the 53rd minute of Man City’s thrashing of Stoke. Following the loss, Stoke currently occupy the 17th league spot with eight points and are set to face Bournemouth on October 21.

It probably doesn't help that whenever he has done well, he's not been rewarded with a run in the side. Hughes' treatment of certain individuals (both backing them and dropping them) is baffling at times. Not saying Sobhi has been faultless and he can be frustrating but he's also had some really good games, only to be dumped back onto the bench.

I'm basing this on no more than an inkling, but I look at Ramadan and to me he looks like he could make one hell of a centre midfielder one day. He's tall, strong, really comfortable on the ball in tight situations, can pick a pass and also has a great work ethic. I think he sadly lacks that explosive pace to truly excel as a Premier League winger, but I'd love to see what he could do if he set his mind to playing in the middle. I think he'd be far more suited there than he is in the wing-back role.

He really needs to start to look up and see a pass , great strength and control , can beat a player all day but unless he can deliver a decent cross or shoot at the right time in his position the rest is neither use nor ornament . Hopefully people are working with him on these things and he did look better against Rochdale but not shown it in the league much yet

Yes he did, but fans like that cause it was in Cairo Derby, I wish he can play well like he was, I though he is going to be next Ronaldo but on the other hand Salah now is much better than him.

Mother of God, so we've got:
If Hughes plays him and he plays shit it's Hughes fault If he doesn't play its Hughes fault coz he needs games If he loans him out it a mistake and Hughes head should roll If he doesn't loan him out he needs to play him If he plays him and he plays well, sure we all told Hughes he should be playing more and it's Hughes fault for not listening to us!
What happened to personal responsibility, Ramadans attitude seems piss poor at the moment, oh hang on that's Hughes fault too...
