before the season started, has he done enough so far to quell the Hughes out brigade or is it time for a change? Judging by Darren on Radio Stoke at the minute it’s the latter

He has to go. He hasn't got a fucking clue what he's doing. Today's embarrassing result changes nothing.

Ok to get the debate going: 3 managers who could come in & take over please It doesn't matter. A myriad of unnaceptable performances means he has to go. You don't keep him merely because a message board can't name or agree on a replacement.

He's a piss poor manager and he needs to go NOW.

Right now, I think it'll be less on the agenda than it was in last April/May time when the fans got worked up but Coates' finger was almost certainly nowhere near the trigger
Today will be seen as an aberration against one of the best teams in the world.
The games get much friendlier now before Christmas.
I'm not overjoyed at all, but I doubt it's remotely even a talking point at HQ

I'm back on the fence, plenty of teams will lose to Man City but how many will put up less of a fight?
We had no game plan, except maybe proverbially bending over and lubing up
He's gone from being the lazy dickhead at work that everyone knows should get fired to being the lazy dickhead that is just about doing the minimum to keep his job

Overall I'd like a new manager.
I don't dislike Hughes, but too often we are listless, disinterested, disorganised.
But then we do put in good performances sometimes, man utd and arse this season.
Its just weird how really really bad we can be at times

We've looked far better this season, and even today we changed things a little second half. Not calling for his head yet.

I know this may not be popular, but if Mark Hughes does go I would like to see Frank Lampard installed. Intelligent, knows the game, great contacts and popular. Only lack of experience as a negative for me, so maybe an older overseer. Just my preferance.

When he bought wimper for £18 mil and didn’t bring in a first team quality RB or RW, I said his days were numbered to my myself as he’d have to square peg round hole all season barring two or more injuries. Here we are.

We're not the first and absolutely will not be the last to be thumped by Pep's lot this season. Perspective is required.

Ok to get the debate going: 3 British managers who could come in & take over please play by Peter's rules. I can't name one presently who is a good manager AND who has good connections or influence to get players from decent clubs. Without the connections Dyche or Eddie Howe are the only two.

We always knew it was going to be a tough start to the season, made even tougher with all of the injuries that we have had. Would any other manager have got us more points? I'm not convinced and I would like to see how we go over the next couple of months. If we are struggling in December then pull the trigger then and give the manager financial support in January.

Things really are not progressing well. At best we have trodden water with the quality of the team over the past 2 years while others around us have improved. I'm certain that Hughes will have the rest of this season to do what he will - I'm less certain that he will keep us out of a painful relegation battle.

Played 4 of the Top 6 in the first 8 games.
Has exceeded expectations by getting 8 points from those games.

Oh that will be Strachan & Coleman for starters Throw in Big Sam and you might have something. An Englishman, a Scotsman and a Welshman walk into a club. Throw in Moyes if he doesn't get the call and you can have a full set

Stoke City and Sam Allardyce. Two names that at some point will come together. At this point if they could get two wingbacks, a RM cover and Sell wimper for a real CB and shift Adam, Ireland and Johnson for better players, I’d take Pulis back or be happy with Allardyce, Dyche whoever even Hughes just as long as they hit targets. I can’t take another piss poor money pinching window this January. I’ll come over with my Texas flag and we’ll turn the Bet365 into the Alamo and lock everyone out until there is changes 😂
