Frustrating, can see why he requires easing in. ;-) He was far too indecisive and fucked about instead of exploiting the space he was gifted down the left. Dogshit actually in your usual player rating scale. He's gotta be 18 months off surely. If Hughes keeps persisting it'll knacker his perspective re youth. Utter bollocks What exactly is utter bollocks?

Jack
Zouma Wimmer Pieters
Diouf Allen Fletcher Tymon
Shaq Crouch Moting
Wouldn't be happy that we're having to play Crouch but I can't see us getting a result if not.

He seems to be coming on regularly as a sub when we need a goal. So we might as well play him from the start. It's becoming pretty obvious that Crouch is still the best striker we have on the books.

Personally in goal I'd have anyone but Johnson. Back 4 of anyone but Johnson. Midfield 4 of anyone but Johnson. With 2 up front, neither called Johnson.
I'd have Johnson on the bench....
The fucking park bench in Longton Park near the Bandstand....

Out of interest when Crouch last score a goal after starting the game? Sod knows but I was thinking more because its the only striker we have that Hughes knows what to do with, and even though it was pretty much hoof ball he created a couple of chances against Newcastle that very nearly got us a point we didn't deserve.

If people are aspiring to play a 36 year old very tall but slow nice man as their best option I am amazed. Peter Crouch shouldn't be under any consideration at all! It amazes me that Jese and Berahino show their potential against Arsenal with a brilliant goal and since then they have not played together. Can anyone remember when we last scored a goal like Chelsea's first on Saturday. We have two players in Berahino and Jese who will thrive on making runs such as this but we never play these type of balls. I still believe that we have excellent striking options including young Campbell and NGoy. We need to look to our future not our past limited dimensional play. Even when Crouch arrived at Stoke he was never a massive goal scorer.

We can't start crouch it doesn't work, crouch is a last 20 Min player or if your behind ,there needs to be more movement for shaq choupo Allen ....I for one would gamble on Saido and if it doesn't work we can but berahino talk to bed ....but I'm sure jese will start again

Out of interest when Crouch last score a goal after starting the game? He had plenty last season. His 100th Prem goal against Everton came from a start, and I'm pretty sure he started on the last day at Southampton when he scored the winner.

Starting one of Diouf, Crouch and Berahino would be a start. We can't not play a proper striker in a winnable home game.
My preference would be Diouf - and all things considered, I'd still favour moving to a back 4 and starting Edwards if Wimmer, BMI and Shawcross are all out.
Butland Edwards-Zouma-Cameron-Pieters Fletcher-Allen Choupo-Shaqiri-Sobhi Diouf

Hughes today still refusing to comment on which defenders will or won't make Saturday's game, which suggests that a few are touch and go and we will leave it to a pre-match fitness test (probably Cameron and Wimmer).

Well perhaps but Peter Crouch has 41 Premier League goals for Stoke, which is 40 more than Jese, Berahino, Campbell and Ngoy...put together!!

Pretty surprised to see Southampton marginal favourites with the bookies.
We're about 2/1 and they're about 6/4.

Lots of people have said Ramadan was shit on Saturday. What exactly did he do wrong? Him and Moses cancelled each other out which to me is a good days work for the left wing back. Moses has been different class for them but he did naff all bar be a cunt on Saturday and credit has to go to Ramadan for that. If that's the case I'm glad I've been too busy to frequent this place this week. Nowt wrong with Ramadan's performance on Saturday. If those criticising him on Saturday had seen him on the Tuesday at Bristol, god only knows what they would say. His performance was promising I thought.

And I thought especially for a winger it was a very disciplined and as someone else has said above mature performance from him.

Can't really see him leaving Jese out, so it'll probably be: I think similar to that, but I will go with Tymon at LWB and Berahino up top in place of Jese.............but wouldn't be surprised if your team is that one that starts
